Ivar Avenue Reunion were a one-time blues band which featured Neil Merryweather, Lynn Carey, Charlie Musselwhite, Barry Goldberg, John Richardson, Robin Boers, and J. J. Velker. Merryweather, Richardson, and Boers had recorded an album together on Kent Records and thought it would be a great idea to work together again, thus the "reunion". They brought in a few more artists to help, including Merryweather's wife Carey. Their name came after the street where they recorded the album at, RCA Records in Los Angeles (the studio was on the corner of Sunset Boulevard & Ivar Avenue.) This is from the only CD release of this album on Mandala in 2009.

Recorded in London under an assumed name by legendary session musicians including Alan Parker, Roger Coulam, Herbie Flowers and Clem Cattini, and released with different artwork in Germany and Spain in 1970, before creeping out in the UK the following year, this cult classic is as enigmatic as they come. A moody blend of Hammond organ, distorted electric guitar and funky rhythms, it's also a lost treasure for beat diggers everywhere.

Música Dispersa joined in Barcelona in 1970, when they recorded their only album, published by Diabolo (reedited in 1979 by Edigsa), in which they developed a really avant-garde music, with hypnotic rhythms, eastern influences, and sensual voices (Selene) producing onomatopeyic sounds that transport you to another dimension. They had a very short life, round to one year. Their main composer was "El Cachas" from Madrid and among the members was a young Jaume Sisa, that was then an institution in the catalan music.

An eye-opening trip to San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury during the summer of 1967 inspired British-born drummer Chris Judge Smith to compose a list of possible names for the rock group he wished to form. Upon his return to Manchester University, he began performing with singer/songwriter Peter Hammill and keyboardist Nick Peame; employing one of the names from Judge Smith's list, the band dubbed itself Van der Graaf Generator (after a machine that creates static electricity), eventually earning an intense cult following as one of the era's preeminent art rock groups…
