This Japanese box set contains three consecutive entries in King Crimson's live and studio archival releases. The specific volumes in question are the tenth, 11th, and 13th from Discipline Global Mobile's Collectors' Club mail-order-only series covering Live in Central Park, NYC '74, the pre-Krim Discipline: Live at Moles Club, 1981, and the last gasp of the '90s double-trio incarnation on the Nashville Rehearsals, 1997. The July 1, 1974, concert in Central Park was the final King Crimson performance by the '70s quartet. While the recording is very good - not great - the group's spirited musical antics more than make up for any lack of audio fidelity…

As the sun was setting over Pittsburgh, P2 opened their show first with silence and then a nebulous soundscape. In his diary at the time, Trey rated the show as "pretty good…though we had to fight with the energy." He goes on to argue that P2 benefit from the pressure cooker environment of a club and though the opening Vector Shift sounds like they’re finding their feet they compensate by offering a snarling Sus-tayn-Z that cuts into a passionate Live Groove demonstrating why Gunn and Fripp are such an effective and dazzling partnership.

The gigs at Shepherds Bush Empire weren’t just a pair of hot dates. They were a couple of scorchers Although the band had been in town only a year before, the rather formal setting of the Albert Hall had led to it being a slightly muted occasion. By contrast, Shepherds Bush Empire was a far more excitable affair. The inclusion of Waiting Man on this tour wasn’t the only surprise – who would have thought Schizoid Man would be knocking them dead a full 22 years after it had last been played by KC.

BPM&M, an experimental exploration that involves remixing an assortment of aural documents created throughout the years by legendary group King Crimson, it's associates, and other sources from beyond. With an assortment of computers, this literal dynamic duo have somehow managed to modify their laptops into musical electrocardiogram machines and have output a display of techno heartbeats previously unknown to mankind. The grand result is one aluminum and plastic-based compact disc containing sounds of nuclear beats and jungles of drone, compiled in measures of time that will have patrons of raves dancing on walls and exchanging the left sides of their brains with the right.

Though their lowest-charting album at the time, spending only one week in the UK charts, Red has received critical acclaim.

'Larks' Tongues In Aspic', from 1973, is widely regarded as one of the truly great King Crimson albums. With its raw tone, inspired improvisations and hard hitting odd-metered rhythms, the album marked a radical departure for this most forward thinking of groups and was the first to include Bill Bruford and John Wetton as band members. This 40th Anniversary edition features new mixes by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and Robert Fripp.
