In January of that year, the group returned to the island-nation for a tour marked by a string of emotionally stirring performances. Tapes were rolling during shows at Tokyo and Kyoto (January 16 and 17), recording music that would later appear on Deluxe: Live in Japan, an LP that was only available in Japan.
]Yoshikazu Mera born May 21, 1971, in Miyazaki, Japan, is a Japanese countertenor. His range is three and a half octaves. Originally wanting to become a pop singer, Mera now primarily sings classical music from the West but also classical Japanese music. He appears frequently as a soloist with the Bach Collegium Japan, which under its conductor Masaaki Suzuki performs Baroque music. His 1998 recital disc "Nightingale" on Sweden's BIS Records was a major success in Japan.
The latest Survivor release on the market is a Japanese CD version of a laser disc Live in Japan 1985. The recording was never released on CD at the time, but more recently appeared as a budget release in the USA titled Extended Versions. However, this release was incomplete - it dropped 2 tracks. Now the set has been restored with fresh Sony 2009 mastering and is now available in Japan.
"Hits On Fire" is the first ever Bryan Adams compilation album, released exclusively for Japan in 1988. Disc 1 is actually Bryan Adams' 1987 album Into the Fire, released on March 30, 1987 through A&M Records. Disc 2 features hit singles from the albums Cuts Like a Knife and Reckless, with the addition of three songs from 12" singles issued in 1985. These were not issued on CD outside Japan.
