Flowers is an American compilation album by The Rolling Stones, released in the summer of 1967. The songs either appeared as singles, had been omitted from the American versions of Aftermath and Between the Buttons, were collected from studio sessions dating back to 1965, or are reissues of songs recently released on other albums. Three tracks had never been released. "My Girl", "Ride On, Baby" and "Sittin' on a Fence", the first of which was recorded in May 1965 during the sessions for Satisfaction, and the other two of which were recorded in December 1965 during the first lot of Aftermath sessions. Flowers reached #3 in the US during the late summer of 1967 and went gold.

Here we have not only the (now "Royal") Concertgebouw ensemble in all of its idiomatic glory, magnificently recorded, but also Chailly at his most interpretively perceptive–and the result is absolutely stunning… As a bonus, Mahler's Bach Suite also receives its finest performance on disc. - David Hurwitz; Classicstoday.com

Nuovi eroi (New Heroes) is the second album by Italian pop/rock singer Eros Ramazzotti, produced by Piero Cassano and released in 1986 on the BMG label. Lead single "Adesso tu" won the 1986 San Remo Music Festival, and topped the singles charts in Italy, Switzerland and Austria. The version included on the album is 1:05 longer than the single version, with additional instrumental passages. Nuovi eroi went on to reach #1 in the same three countries. It is the first of eleven consecutive full-length studio albums by Ramazzotti, up to and including 2009's Ali e radici, to top the Italian Albums chart. The CD issue of the album contains four additional tracks taken from Ramazzotti's debut album Cuori agitati.

…Songs from the Road seems a bit pale compared to the excellence of Live in London, but both albums are enough to convince anyone that even at the age of 74, Leonard Cohen remains one of the most vital figures in contemporary music, and his gifts as a performer nearly match his abilities as a writer, no small accomplishment.

John Mayall has been doing this blues thing now for over five decades (he released his first single in 1964), exploring the form in all of its incarnations, from gutbucket country blues to the more urbane jazz side of things, and amazingly, he's always sounded pretty much like John Mayall, a blues everyman who has always surrounded himself with the best bands and players, a big part of the reason he is still a successful touring act in his eighties. Mayall's put out 60 some albums since 1964, and while he's slowed down a bit in recent years, he's still good for a new album or live set every couple of years or so. A Special Life, recorded in November 2013 at Entourage Studios in North Hollywood, features Mayall's current band…

OH WOW! Another perfect Renaissance album. Maybe Annie Haslam has her best voice on this record: using headphones, the experience is more than pleasant! Other musicians’ backing vocals support very well Annie’s lead vocals.

Goo is a 1991 major label debut album by New York alterna- rockers Sonic Youth. They made music videos for each song on the album and compiled it for release, some of them ("Dirty Boots", "Kool Thing") done with finances from their record label (DGC/Geffen), others done independently, with one or two done by themselves. While these videos have been formally released as part of a compilation DVD, this is taken from the high quality laserdisc.

"Classical Barbra" is a studio album by Barbra Streisand, released in February 1976 but recorded in 1973. The album consists of songs by classical European composers and includes tracks sung in English, French, Occitan, German, Italian and Latin. The music is performed by the Columbia Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Claus Ogerman. Leonard Bernstein wrote of the album, "Barbra Streisand's natural ability to make music takes her over to the classical field with extraordinary ease. It's clear that she loves these songs. In her sensitive, straightforward, and enormously appealing performance, she has given us a very special musical experience." The album has been certified Gold in the United States for sales of 500,000 on May 5, 1999.
