An outfit convened by by ex-PROPHET, DANGER DANGER, BONE MACHINE and MELODICA man Ted Poley in union with Austrian guitarist and MELODICA colleague Gerhard Pichler. The duo debuted the 'Big' album live at the Z Rock festival in the UK during October of 2002. Ted Poley and Gerhard Pichler's new album is essentially the third Melodica album.
"Smile" is the second studio album by "Danger Danger" front-man Ted Poley, originally released in 2007. In contrast to its predecessor, "Smile" as a release falls clearly in the melodic rock/AOR genre perhaps partly influenced by the change in record label (Poley has been signed to "Frontiers" records since "Smile"). The melodies and vocal hooks are plentiful and the music is how melodic rock should be.
From start to finish, "Collateral Damage" is an absolute triumph and Ted's vocals never sounded better. It's so refreshing to actually see an artist mature over the years and this is very true of Ted Poley. From his glory days back in DANGER DANGER till the more intricate, well written and brilliantly arranged music he is putting out today, Poley has definitely come a long way. Joined by long-time friend and fellow DANGER DANGER band mate Andy Timmons on guitar for this one. "Collateral Damage" is Ted Poley and AOR at its best!
