Keiko Matsui's last album, 2000s Whisper From the Mirror, was picked up and reissued by the Narada label in 2001, and Narada is also releasing her 12th album, Deep Blue. It's an appropriate match-up for the Japanese pianist, since Narada is known primarily as a new age label, and, though her records are being released on its Narada Jazz imprint, "new age" is actually the best category to place her in. From the start of her career, Matsui has been shelved under "jazz," but that has always been more a marketing ploy than anything else, and never more so than on Deep Blue. Her compositions are melodic tunes, many of which sound like songs without lyrics, while others seem like soundtrack excerpts from a film not yet made.

Good times have sunk into the marrow of Kenny Chesney’s bones, slowing down his metabolism, making him unlikely to kick up his tempos or turn up his amplifiers. Age slows you down but so do too many afternoons on the beach Chesney continues to romanticize, although not quite so much on 2010’s Hemingway’s Whiskey as he did on his last decade of records. Unlike its immediate predecessor, 2008’s Lucky Old Sun, Hemingway’s Whiskey isn’t simply lazy: it’s slow but it’s burnished and classy, not quite as literary as the Guy Clark title track might initially indicate, but surely handsome, its seamless weaving of guitars being the aural equivalent of high thread count sheets…

Pet Sounds has subsequently gathered worldwide acclaim from critics and musicians alike, and is widely considered to be one of the most influential albums in music history.

Another Night was a wholly unexpected album at the time of its release in February of 1975. The Hollies' 15th official album, it also marked the return of Allan Clarke to the lineup for the first time since Distant Light in 1971 – and it was, apart from one number, comprised entirely of group originals, a feat of songwriting acumen that the Hollies had not achieved since 1969's Hollies Sing Hollies (which was sort of a "ringer" in that regard); and just as much to the point, all of the songs and recordings were pretty much first-rate, ranging widely from lyrical pop/rock to harder, edgier, album-oriented sides, with a couple of classic performances among them…

Hollies Sing Hollies was the group's somewhat self-conscious follow-up to Hollies Sing Dylan – in the U.S., it formed the bulk of the He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother LP, with that smash single (totally unlike anything else on the album) overshadowing the rest of the record. If the Hollies began to lose credibility as a frontline rock group, the blame must rest with this album. The songwriting is generally melodic and very pleasant, but little of it is particularly memorable, and the arrangements mostly have a light rock/pop feel to them, closer to Gary Puckett & the Union Gap than to the Beatles. There are one or two very good songs, including "Please Let Me Please," with crisp rhythm guitars…

Rajaz is the thirteenth studio album by Camel, released in 1999. The album's songs have been composed on the camel's walking metre and is considered by many fans to be a return to the band's musical roots of the 1970s.

The second greatest hits album of his career, it was released by DreamWorks Records Nashville. The album was certified triple platinum on January 11, 2006. The compilation is composed of nine tracks from his first four DreamWorks albums: 1999's How Do You Like Me Now?!, 2001's Pull My Chain and 2002's Unleashed, as well as five new recordings. Three of these new recordings are studio tracks, of which two ("Stays in Mexico" and "Mockingbird") were released as singles, reaching No. 3 and No. 27…
