Essential: A masterpiece of prog-rock music collection.
ELOY's debut album is one of Germany's 70's heavy weights and one of my personal favs. This stonker of an album captures the wonderful underground 70's krautrock magic, clearly standing up though as a very different sounding ELOY than subsequent album would prove for sure.
EP released on vinyl only. Mud Walk was formed in 2010 on the Swedish island Gotland and has since then been rockin' the muddy scene of rock'n'roll. They play a mix of blues and old-style hardrock and always give the audience what the beg for. It's swetty, it's groovy, it's rock'n'roll.
The Church, like their namesake, are capable of both beautiful and terrifying things. Uninvited, Like the Clouds, their seemingly hundredth album since 1980, has everything an adoring fan could want, and all the ammunition a detractor could carry. Steve Kilbey, Marty Willson-Piper, Peter Koppes, and newest member Tim Powles have constructed a bloated, beautiful, unsettling storm of a record that manages to celebrate improvisation and songcraft without any favoritism, resulting in their most cohesive record since 1992's underrated Priest = Aura.
