Pat Metheny ‎- Watercolors ‎(1977) ECM Records/ECM 1097 - Original DE Pressing - LP In 24bit/96kHz

Pat Metheny ‎- Watercolors
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz & 16bit/44kHz | 900mb & 200mb
Label: ECM Records/ECM 1097 | Release: 1977 | Genre: Jazz-Fusion

Excellent addition to any jazz music collection
Pat Metheny is one of the world's best-selling jazz musicians. He must be the one jazz guitarist whose albums are likely to appeal to lovers of symphonic prog - particularly his epics IMAGINARY DAY and THE WAY UP.
Considering the embryonic Pat Metheny Group recorded WATERCOLORS as long ago as 1977, it's remarkable that most of the characteristics of Pat's definitive style are already in place.
Ralph Towner ‎– Solo Concert (1980) ECM Records/ECM 1173 - US Pressing - LP In 24bit/96kHz - ONLY RE-POST

Ralph Towner ‎– Solo Concert
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz / 900mb
Label: ECM Records/ECM 1173 | Release: 1980 | Genre: Acoustic-Fusion

Ralph Towner’s Solo Concert holds a special place in my ECM-adoring heart, for it was my introduction to a guitarist whose skills have since become staples of my listening life. Lovingly recorded in the open concert spaces of Munich and Zurich, Solo Concert is to the guitar what Keith Jarrett’s The Köln Concert is to the piano. It’s that good.
Codona - Codona (1979) ECM Records/2301 132 - Original DE Pressing - LP In 24bit/96kHz

Codona - Codona
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz & 16bit/44kHz
Label: ECM Records/2301 132 | Release: 1979 | Genre: Afro-Fusion

Excellent addition to any fusion music collection
Other than Shakti I have found most other artists listed as Indo / raga jazz fusion don't sound very Indian or raga, rather having the title based on more of a drone that is influenced by such exotica. CODONA is an obvious exception with Indo / raga just bursting into the scene from the getgo with sitars, tablas, dulcimers, timpanis and other exotic elements such as droning chanting vocals in the background adding a Tibetan getaway feel to the whole thing.
Pat Metheny ‎- New Chautauqua ‎(1979) ECM Records/ECM 1131 - Original DE Pressing - LP In 24bit/96kHz

Pat Metheny ‎- New Chautauqua
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz & 16bit/44kHz | 900mb & 200mb
Label: ECM Records/ECM 1131 | Release: 1979 | Genre: Jazz-Fusion

Essential: a masterpiece of Jazz-Fusion music
"New Chautauqua" is one of Metheny's most solitary and melancholy albums. Pat Metheny is a man who loves to travel. We can say this not only because he does about a billion concerts every year, but his main themes in his music are about the road, exploring the urban world, but also more isolated places. I feel that with "New Chautauqua" Metheny is in one of these places. This LP is once again a nice and enjoyable gem of Jazz music, something to not underrate and to listen to with care.

With Made In Chicago, an exhilarating live album, Jack DeJohnette celebrates a reunion with old friends. In 1962, DeJohnette, Roscoe Mitchell and Henry Threadgill were all classmates at Wilson Junior College on Chicago’s Southside, pooling energies and enthusiasms in jam sessions. Shortly thereafter Jack joined Muhal Richard Abrams’ Experimental Band, and Roscoe and Henry soon followed him. When Abrams cofounded the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians in 1965, DeJohnette, Mitchell and Threadgill were all deeply involved, presenting concerts and contributing to each other’s work under the AACM umbrella.

“El Encuentro” follows bandoneonist Dino Saluzzi and cellist Anja Lechner to locations in Argentina, Germany, Armenia, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland. “Your perception of music and your way of playing music change when you travel,” says Anja Lechner. The camera joins the journey and underlines the point, illuminating the processes of music making in very different contexts.

Classical / Harpsichord

Wanda Landowska brought the Goldbergs out of hiding on the harpsichord in the '40s and Glenn Gould made them a bonafide hit on the piano in the '50s, opening the floodgates for keyboardists of all stripes. So, in one of his earlier recorded voyages into the classical world, Keith Jarrett is up against an imposing legacy as he tackles what has become the most famous set of variations in Western music. First, he chooses to play them on a double-manual harpsichord – which makes the task somewhat easier, avoiding the finger-tangling cross hand difficulties that can trip up a piano performance.

Classical / Piano / Harpsichord

Book One of the Well-Tempered Clavier is performed on the piano while Book Two is performed on the harpsichord. His tempos are very fast, and he has a certain sense of humor that comes through in all his performances, making what might seem academic, warm and accessible. Highly recommended - and check out Jarrett's other classical recordings for other delights just as great.
