This is the third and final Isotope installment, not as strong overall as their unique "Illusion" album which thrilled prog mostly due to the presence of the amazing Hugh Hopper from the Soft Machine. There is something inherently charming about Isotope's music, a unique style that does not necessarily leap out at the listener but leaves quite a positive impression.

The Deep End, Volume 1 is the fourth studio album by American rock band Gov't Mule. The album was released on October 23, 2001, by ATO Records and Evangeline Records. After the death of founding member and bass guitarist Allen Woody, the band considered breaking up. Instead, remaining members Warren Haynes and Matt Abts recorded several songs with bass players Woody had admired. So many musicians wanted to participate that the band ended up recording two albums worth of material. Vol 1 was issued in 2001. Originally, The Deep End, Volume 1 was released with a bonus disc called Hidden Treasures which featured live performances…

Derryl Perry has taken on the task of releasing a cd project that was inspired by fans to be recorded in a raw and intimate setting. Derryl wrote all of the songs, co-wrote two, and performed all of the musical and vocal arrangements on the cd. The project is a sharp contrast to the previously fully produced Nashville sessions captured on the earlier catalog cd's.

Rupert Hine, famous for his work as a producer (Tina Turner, Camel, Rush, Saga…), made a few records in the 70's and the 80's that were very innovative. A similar approach was used on his highly enjoyable solo album The Deep End, the first release under his own name since 1983. This album came out in the mid-90's but still holds some good lyrical content and interesting musical treatments. Unfortunately, that was also his last album.

The Swinging Sixties are over and the long, grey morning after has only just begun, but there are still eye-opening new experiences in store for wet-behind-the-ears teenager Mike when he takes a job at a rundown swimming baths. After one of its more mature visitors steamily attempts to take advantage, Mike gradually develops an increasingly obsessive interest in sassy, spoken-for co-worker Susan. Giddily he follows her into the grimy underbelly of Soho for a long dark night of the soul - soundtracked with great intensity by legendary Krautrock band Can. Will Mike sabotage Susan's relationship with her fiancé and get together with her instead?
A darkly comic and utterly compelling portrait of Britain in an era of uncertainty.
