Welcome to a public version of Stanford's undergraduate course on compilers. The first week of lectures are available, and that is all that is assigned for the first week. The course will last ten weeks. Starting with the second week, we'll begin having short in-lecture quizzes to help you master the material, as well as a weekly multiple-choice quiz. There will also be weekly homeworks using DeduceIt, a new (and novel) system for delivering free-form exercises in the form of derivations or proofs.

Growth, Structural Transformation, and Rural Change in Viet Nam: A Rising Dragon on the Move (WIDER Studies in Development Economics) by Finn Tarp
English | Apr. 23, 2017 | ISBN: 019879696X | 333 Pages | PDF | 2 MB

Many developing countries-Viet Nam included-continue to struggle to raise incomes per capita. A common feature of the growth and development process is a fundamental change in the pattern of economic activity, as households reallocate labour from traditional agriculture to more productive forms of agriculture and modern industrial and service sectors. Broad structural transformation and widespread poverty reduction is the combined result of these large-scale shifts in work and labour allocation when they realise desired development goals.

Uranium is created violently in the collapse of a star long ago. A massive explosion; a supernova that is the birth our solar system. Uranium is woven throughout the fabric of our Earth, and uranium still crackles, with the heat and violence of that creation. Uranium spits energy unlike any other rock. Its energy transforms DNA, and shapes the very nature of what it means to be human. You are who you are, because of uranium. Uranium is a changeling. Leave a lump of it alone and when you return, it will have turned into something else — all by itself.
