Julie Andrews' Greatest Christmas Songs goes above and beyond its title, combining holiday favorites such as "Oh Little Town of Bethlehem," "God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen," and "The Bells of Christmas" from her 1966 Christmas album with standards such as "Cheek to Cheek" and "Falling in Love With Love" from 1958's Julie Andrews Sings. Regardless of where they came from originally, all of the selections show off Andrews' buoyant, graceful voice. Greatest Christmas Songs is worthwhile for Andrews fans as well as anyone dreaming of a nostalgic yet sophisticated Christmas.

Seen on ABC's Wonderful World of Disney, this $12-million production is the only musical Rodgers and Hammerstein wrote for television. The CBS-TV original, with 21-year-old Julie Andrews in the title role and Edie Adams as the Fairy Godmother, played on live television March 31, 1957 to TV's largest audience ever to that date (107-million viewers). That historic production, captured on kinescope, can still be seen today on library monitors at the Museum of Television and Radio in New York and Los Angeles.

Victoria Grant (Julie Andrews), a down-and-out British soprano, struggles to find work in the nightclubs of 1930s Paris. While trying to scam a free meal, Grant meets cabaret performer Toddy (Robert Preston), who comes up with an idea that will change everything. Acting as her manager, Toddy bills Grant as a male female impersonator. When the nightclubs eat it up, the duo makes it big – even a Chicago mobster (James Garner) is enamored with Grant. But keeping the truth a secret is no easy task.
