Sax-a-Go-Go is the second album by Dutch alto saxophonist Candy Dulfer. It entered the Billboard Top Contemporary Jazz Album chart at #5 in February 1994, remaining in the chart for 31 weeks. The album "is dedicated to the loving memory of Beppie" and includes a version of Eugene McDaniels' Vietnam War protest song "Compared to What", first recorded by Roberta Flack on her debut album First Take (1969). "I Can't Make You Love Me" was a hit for Bonnie Raitt on her album Luck of the Draw (1991).

Rock Candy Funk Party (RCFP) is a collection of groove loving musicians bringing a fresh and funky vibe to the world of jazz. The band formed around 2009 when drummer Tal Bergman and guitarist Ron DeJesus combined their love of funk music and released Grooove Vol. 1 to share with the world. After Tal began recording and performing with blues-rock titian Joe Bonamassa, Bergman invited him to join the fun. By 2011, Bonamassa had officially joined the band and the groove has been growing stronger ever since.

This is an outstanding album. Reed man Gilad Atzmon has taken five standards, re-interpreting the versions recorded with strings by Charlie Parker, added six of his own compositions, and created an original, supremely enjoyable and affecting piece of work. The album's title refers to an imagined land—the country that Atzmon envisaged when, as a 17 year-old in Israel, he first heard Charlie Parker playing "April in Paris" and fell in love with jazz and America. According to his liner notes, this is not the America that Atzmon sees today, where jazz is no longer a revolutionary music, but it is still the home of his "priests" and "heroes." In Loving Memory of America is a fitting tribute to those artists.

After releasing a debut album that was considered perfect, packed with hits from beginning to end, the Cars faced an interesting dilemma on Candy-O. Should they make an exact replica and rake in the bucks? Or fool with the formula just enough to keep it interesting (while still emptying the tillers)? Working again with producer Roy Thomas Baker, the band wrote an almost entirely new batch of songs that captured the same pop highs as The Cars while sounding different in some important ways…
