Two words: Five stars.
The Crosby-Nash subset of CSNY carried with it much of the charm and harmony of the larger group, and together and apart the two singers mined that appeal for several gold albums, especially in the first couple of years after the breakup of CSNY in 1970.

Miles Davis Kind Of Blue. Classic Records Reissue of Columbia CS 8163

Kind of Blue is one of my favorite albums. I'm fortunate enough to own a nice mono 6-Eye (CL 8163), as well as two stereo 6-Eyes, not particularly early pressings, but 6-Eyes nonetheless. So why would I even want a reissue copy? Classic went the extra Miles on this one by including a second disc in this set. I also haven't gotten any of the more recent Classic reissues, and I wanted to see what kind of job they did in their Columbia Jazz series.
Big In Iowa - Bangin' 'N' Knockin' [Blue Rose Records BLU CD0103] {Germany 1999}

Label/Cat#: Blue Rose / inakustik # BLU CD0103 | Country/Year: Germany 1999
Genre: Folk, Rock | Style: Folk, Country Rock

From beginning to end, Bangin' 'N' Knockin' reads like a tribute to one of Big In Iowa's seminal influences, Neil Young; or perhaps Crazy Horse would be a more exact template. The album opens with the helpless, Young-themed plea "Neil's on the Radio," and ends with the band's cover of his 1969 classic "Cinnamon Girl," recorded for the Inbetween Records Neil Young tribute album Another Note for You. Bob Burns still sounds like Van Morrison down to the warble emanating from his scarred and broken soul, and the band still provides a pummeling instrumental backing…

This languid, seductive gem may well be Grant Green's greatest moment on record. Right from the opening bars of the classic title cut, Idle Moments is immediately ingratiating and accessible, featuring some of Green's most stylish straight jazz playing. Allmusic *****

Don't miss this classic, this is a must-have!!!

In May 2013, the Blue Coast Crew traveled to Happy Valley, Santa Cruz, California to record a special group of musicians. Hand chosen by Keith Greeninger, these artists came from various parts of Northern California to record a few songs in a magical place in the middle of a redwood forest. Surrounded by trees, birds and wildflowers, the Blue Coast Crew recorded direct to DSD using the Extended Sound Environment technique. All the musicians were incredible. We became instant fans. Occasionally, you'll hear Keith singing in the background. Sometimes, you'll hear the birds in the background. The day ended too soon.
