The late Mexican electronic musician Oscar Menzel, aka Airwaves, only realized a small handful of recordings in his short lifetime (including one under the alias 29), but the two Airwaves discs issued on the Opcion Sonica label back in the mid 90s remain one of the many undiscovered gems scattered across the vast graveyard of obscure, one-off electronic music projects and recordings.

Generalized Nash Equilibrium Problems, Bilevel Programming and MPEC

Generalized Nash Equilibrium Problems, Bilevel Programming and MPEC by Didier Aussel
English | PDF,EPUB | 2017 | 134 Pages | ISBN : 9811047731 | 4.87 MB

The book discusses three classes of problems: the generalized Nash equilibrium problems, the bilevel problems and the mathematical programming with equilibrium constraints (MPEC). These problems interact through their mathematical analysis as well as their applications. The primary aim of the book is to present the modern tool of variational analysis and optimization, which are used to analyze these three classes of problems. All contributing authors are respected academicians, scientists and researchers from around the globe. These contributions are based on the lectures delivered by experts at CIMPA School, held at the University of Delhi, India, from 25 November–6 December 2013, and peer-reviewed by international experts.

Trade Theory in Computable General Equilibrium Models: Armington, Krugman and Melitz By Peter B. Dixon
English | EPUB | 2018 | 194 Pages | ISBN : 9811083231 | 3.65 MB

This book is for people who want to understand modern trade theory, particularly the Melitz model. It lays out Melitz theory from first principles and relates it to earlier theories of Armington and Krugman. For trade theory specialists, the book produces some significant conclusions. It identifies conditions under which Krugman and Melitz models produce essentially the same results for the welfare effects of trade liberalization as those obtained from Armington, and conditions under which this is not true. These findings will be of interest to academics and policy advisors who need to understand critiques of Armington by proponents of Krugman and Melitz.

With roots in 60s psychedelia and classic rock, the fuzzy stoner riffs of the 70s, the grit of 90s grunge and the winning dirty rock n’ roll that has in recent years made a resurgence, Gozu has been churning out killer records since 2009. With 2016’s Revival they took their sound in a somewhat new and more aggressive direction, and in doing so, dropped the most compulsive, exciting and downright badass release of their career – and Equilibrium has only raised the stakes. “We wanted these songs to hit a nerve, make people shake their ass and enjoy simply being alive,” says vocalist/guitarist Marc “Gaff” Gaffney, who founded the band with lead guitarist Doug Sherman.

General Equilibrium Option Pricing Method: Theoretical and Empirical Study

General Equilibrium Option Pricing Method: Theoretical and Empirical Study By Jian Chen
English | PDF,EPUB | 2018 | 163 Pages | ISBN : 9811074275 | 6.58 MB

This book mainly addresses the general equilibrium asset pricing method in two aspects: option pricing and variance risk premium. First, volatility smile and smirk is the famous puzzle in option pricing. Different from no arbitrage method, this book applies the general equilibrium approach in explaining the puzzle. In the presence of jump, investors impose more weights on the jump risk than the volatility risk, and as a result, investors require more jump risk premium which generates a pronounced volatility smirk. Second, based on the general equilibrium framework, this book proposes variance risk premium and empirically tests its predictive power for international stock market returns.
