Build one antenna, and you’ll quickly find yourself planning the next. The ARRL Antenna Book for Radio Communications is devoted entirely to that pioneering spirit. In this one book, you will find all of the information you need for complete antenna systems—from planning, to design and construction. The Antenna Book describes antennas for nearly any frequency range and operating application: from the HF low-bands through VHF, UHF and microwave; fixed station, portable, mobile, maritime, satellite and more!

The thopic of antennas is one of the most popular in Amateur Radio literature. The material that has been written for amateurs on antennas would fill several volumes, and, indeed, several volumes are alredy available.

The book is essential for anyone wanting to understand and construct antennas, without a lot of math. It covers HF, VHF, and UHF antennas, along with sections on special-purpose antennas. The only real complaint I have is that the material is not organized in textbook fashion, which often makes information hard to find. For example, information about vertical antenna theory is scattered among three or four chapters. And the book's index is not terribly helpful.

All the information you need to design your own complete antenna system.

Since the first edition in September 1939, radio amateurs and professional engineers have turned to The ARRL Antenna Book as THE source of current antenna theory and a wealth of practical how-to construction projects. Use this book to discover even the most basic antenna designs– wire and loop antennas, verticals, and Yagis–and for advanced antenna theory and applications. Many of the antennas in this edition benefit directly from advances in sophisticated computer modeling.

The thopic of antennas is one of the most popular in Amateur Radio literature. The material that has been written for amateurs on antennas would fill several volumes, and, indeed, several volumes are alredy available. So popular is the topic that ARRL Hedquaters receives many more antenna manuscripts for consideration as feature article material for the journal, QST, than can be published.
