Yuji Ohno (born 30 May 1941 in Atami, Shizuoka, Japan), also known as MahouP, is a Japanese jazz musician. Ohno is known for his musical scoring of Japanese anime television series, particularly Lupin III, and most famously the 1977 series Lupin III Part II and the feature film The Castle of Cagliostro. Later anime series scored by Ohno include Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars, the 1979 Toei series Captain Future (known as Capitaine Flam in France) and the 1982 series Space Adventure Cobra. He has composed scores for live-action films, namely Toei's tokusatsu series Seiun Kamen Machineman, his only work on this genre to date. Ohno is also a member of a jazz trio with Czech bassist Miroslav Vitous and American drummer Lenny White.

A Zurich, Switzerland, native, composer, flutist, and saxophonist Daniel Schnyder is as comfortable and gifted with classical chamber music as with avant-garde jazz, easily crossing between both significant genres of music. He originally studied flute in his homeland at the Conservatory of Winterthur. After moving to the United States, he switched to the Berklee College of Music in Boston and began to study jazz arranging, composition, and the saxophone. He has worked with Lew Soloff, Lee Konitz, Abdullah Ibrahim, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and many others over the years.

Saxophonist, composer and arranger Michael Blake has established his presence in the jazz world, while his work gracefully erases the borders between different areas of music. He chooses to play progressive jazz-based music rooted in his family's remembrances with a sextet of like-minded modern creative players that use admittedly traditional sounds in a non-traditional manner. This collection of original compositions uses collective themes and motifs that stretch the imagination, yet remains within a colorful framework of highly motivated and intelligent designs that bear little resemblance to standardized tune structures. Extended techniques and odd meters are at the center of Blake's personalized music, as he plays primarily tenor sax and some soprano to extend these older values into new music beyond simple categories.

Greta Kline requires your whole attention if you are going follow what she’s saying on Vessel, her third studio album as Frankie Cosmos, now audibly a full band rather than a bedroom solo project. She makes a habit of pausing between phrases, making you wait a couple of beats for her to finish a thought. It feels as though she’s figuring out what she’s going to say as you listen. It’s worth it to be patient, hang on her words and let her draw you in.

Swiss outfit Cosmos can trace it's roots back to 1990, when Reto Iseli (drums, vocals) formed his first band, at that time called Glacier Eagles. Late in 1993 they decided that Cosmos was a better sounding and describing name for their Pink Floyd influenced musical ventures, and the following year saw them release their debut album The Deciding Moments of Your Life. The album was met with a fairly good reception; and for the next few years Cosmos enjoyed a fair degree of success in their native country with live shows combining their own original material with Pink Floyd covers. However, in 1998 internal tensions saw to it that the band broke up…
