Swiss outfit Cosmos can trace it's roots back to 1990, when Reto Iseli (drums, vocals) formed his first band, at that time called Glacier Eagles. Late in 1993 they decided that Cosmos was a better sounding and describing name for their Pink Floyd influenced musical ventures, and the following year saw them release their debut album. The music on their albums is strongly related to the music of Pink Floyd. Also during live performances the sound of Cosmos is heavily inspired by this band. They often played covers of Pink Floyd on stage of which some have also been released on Live, a concert released on DVD and CD in 2004. Finally a demo was released in 2003 called "Different Faces".

Through an immigrant cab driver, our world collides with a nervous filmmaker, a lawyer whose new breasts her ex-boyfriend wants to see, a mystery man, a gay man who might or might not have AIDS, and a birthday girl who got stood up. It is a mixture of laughter and sadness, all floating on a sea of philosophy.

At His Crossroad: Reflections on the Work of France Bučar by Igor Kovač
English | PDF,EPUB | 2018 (2019 Edition) | 185 Pages | ISBN : 3319783300 | 3.42 MB

This book is a translation and celebration of Slovenian politician France Bučar’s seminal work. Divided into two parts, the book first contains several studies of Bučar’s arguments. As Bučar applied his system theory to a variety of issues, so too the conglomerate of scholars and issues critically assessed is interdisciplinary, ranging from political science and economics, to law and philosophy, as well as to natural sciences. The contributors and the questions of their essays in the edited volume are as follows. Peter Verovsek (University of Sheffield) examines different branches of Critical Theory and classifies Bučar within them. Mark Hamilton (Inter-American Defense College) discusses system dynamics of Bučar’s system theory. Urška Velikonja (Georgetown University) applies Bučar’s system theory to the question of the ethics, rules, and regulations in financial economics. Finally, Matej Drev (Georgia Institute of Technology) connects Bučar to the issue of artificial intelligence and inequality.
