Varese's original soundtrack to Psycho finds Joel McNeely conducting the Royal Scottish National Orchestra through Bernard Herrmann's classic original score. This album is the first time the entire score has been recorded for an album and its remarkable how eerie and evocative the music is, even when its separated from the film. Psycho stands as one of Herrmann's finest moments, and even if many collectors and film buffs would prefer the original soundtrack recording, this version is essential for fans of the composer, since it is the clearest, cleanest edition of score yet produced.

Psycho Fantasy is the fourth studio album by rock group Phenomena, released in 2006 on Escape Music label. Phenomena is a rock concept around a supergroup formed by record producer Tom Galley, Metalhammer magazine founder Wilfried Rimensberger and Tom's brother, Whitesnake guitarist Mel Galley. Contributors were leading rock musicians such as Glenn Hughes, Brian May, Tony Martin and John Wetton amongst others. In a cover story, run by Kerrang! magazine in 1985, Phenomena's production of rock songs based on a story line running through a whole album, attached to artworks and other multi-media aspects was credited for the "return of the concept album" in the 1980s…

Silva Screen Records present earlier composers who were masters of music on Hitchcock films, and later films with Bernard Herrmann on the second CD. The "CONCERTO FOR ORCHESTRA" is Miklos Rozsa's haunting theme which lasts over nine minutes is something from heaven. "STRANGERS ON THE TRAIN" the Dimitri Tiomkin contribution is also an outstanding track which can move the unmoveable with the heart-racing pounding sounds that the two composers generate. Both composers Rozsa and Tiomkin have a list of accomplishments a mile long, but to hear their music on a Hitchcock film is pure geneious in film making and scoring.

For his first solo album, John Lydon decided to tentatively explore electronica without leaving behind the guitar growl that made the Sex Pistols' 1996 reunion a success. The guitars are woven into the electronic dance beats throughout Psycho's Path, which occasionally results in some exciting juxtapositions…

Baby Burn is the third album of a Hungarian band you have to listen to. Main attraction of the band: the deep and hypnotic voice of their singer, Zoltan Karnics. Imagine a smiling Nick Cave, a happy Johnny Cash, an energetic Leonard Cohen or a Bula Lugosi without his cloak. Terribly western, Psycho Mutants’ Rock’n’roll swings like hell, somewhere between country, psychedelic and surf music, with a very exotic touch, which will make you want to go East.
