Micky Moody has worked alongside some of the greatest singers in the business, including Paul Rodgers, David Coverdale, Frankie Miller, Roger Chapman, Eric Burdon, Chris Farlowe and Graham Bonnet. As a studio musician he has recorded for the likes of Meat Loaf, Sheena Easton, Ben E. King, Mike Oldfield, Gerry Rafferty and many more. So it is of some interest that he has written and produced an album of guitar instrumentals. A definite case of "let the fingers do the talking" (or in this case, the singing!) 'Electric Journeyman' features twelve tracks that capture Moody's rock/blues/funk/jazz influences.

Back in New York after three years spent gigging and recording in Europe, a mature and rejuvenated James Moody resumed the endless North American scuffle to get by as a contemporary jazz musician. Volume five in the Classics James Moody chronology presents 16 rare Mercury recordings made between October 1951 and June 1953, followed by eight Prestige titles from January and April, 1954. The first four tracks feature baritone saxophonist Cecil Payne; high points include the rowdy, bristling "Moody's Home" and "Wiggle Waggle," an R&B rocker that sounds like something right up out of the King record catalog. Beginning with the material recorded on May 21, 1952, Moody is heard leading a group largely composed of players who, like him, had worked in Dizzy Gillespie's big band. Two of these individuals – trumpeter Dave Burns and baritone saxophonist Numa "Pee Wee" Moore – show up regularly in the front line of Moody's excellent recording ensembles between 1952 and 1955.

Few groups have had an impact on the international rock scene as Whitesnake. Inspired by the blues, singer David Coverdale's rock vision has become a standard that many acts have tried to live up to yet pale in comparison. The band went into Startling Studios at the tail end of 1980/early 1981 and recorded one of the early greats alongside the classic "Ready An' Willing". Released in April 1981 and entering the UK chart at number 2 this was early Whitesnake at their peak.

The pre-psychedelic Moody Blues were represented in England by this album, which is steeped in American soul. The covers include songs by James Brown, Willie Dixon, and Chris Kenner, plus the chart-busting "Go Now" (originally recorded by Bessie Banks), interspersed with a brace of originals by lead singer/guitarist Denny Laine and keyboardist Mike Pinder, and one Jeff Barry/Ellie Greenwich number, "I've Got a Dream."…

British hard rock supergroup Snakecharmer was formed in 2013 by former members of Whitesnake, Wishbone Ash, and Thunder, among others. Guitar wiz Micky Moody had enjoyed a long and storied career in blues-rock dating all the way back to his work with Tramline in the '60s. After his acrimonious departure from Whitesnake in 1983, he formed the Snakes and the Company of Snakes in a bid to re-create the original blues-rock sound of Whitesnake before they became a hair metal band. After a chance meeting with his old Whitesnake bandmate, bassist Neil Murray, the pair decided to make some music for old times' sake and set about putting a band together…

In 1997, former Whitesnake guitarists Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody decided to reunite in order to perform their legendary old band's classic material once again. So after drafting Norwegian vocalist Johnny Lande (aka Jørn Lande), keyboard player Josh Phillips, bassist David Levy, and drummer Mark Brzezicki, they set out on a tour that was conveniently billed "An Evening of Whitesnake Music," then decided to record an album of original material, proper. This became 1998's Once Bitten, which featured new drummer Willy Bendiksen and was only officially released in Japan, but eventually led to the Live in Europe set, recorded on location later that year with the aid of journeyman keyboardist Don Airey…

"Here They Go Again" is the first album released by the English rock band The Company of Snakes. It is compiled of live recordings from concerts at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany (first disc) and in the Norwegian city of Trondheim (second disc). Because of the musical background of band leaders Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody, almost the entire set list consists of old Whitesnake songs. The album title "Here They Go Again" also refers to a famous Whitesnake song "Here I Go Again" (of which there has been two versions; one released on Saints and Sinners and one released on Whitesnake. The Company of Snakes focuses more on the original version). Of this album, "Kinda Wish You Would" is the only song that made it onto T.C.O.S.'s (only) studio album Burst The Bubble.
