Deep in the Welsh Marches amidst the most beautiful scenery you will find one of the most extraordinary bands in Britain. They have been hiding away, playing the pubs and parties of the Welsh Borders for the last twenty years, honing their remarkable rich romantic tunes. Only recently have they emerged to share them with the world. Little Rumba’s musicians come from very different musical backgrounds which is why the band presents such a unique blend of styles.

Another page is written in rhumba history, New York chapter. Kip Hanrahan's ever inventive, ever experimental (sometimes to their own detriment) American Clave label offers a follow-up to their first deep rhumba release, This Night Becomes a Rumba. In very much the same spirit, the percussion is thickly layered and pulsing, the arrangement ideas are out of the box, and the emotional tone is at times melancholy and searching, at others fierce and impassioned…

It is said that a master perfects technique in order to transcend it. This deeply satisfying disc, which merits a presence on 1998 best-of lists, applies the theory to rumba and proves it. Steeped in the tradition of voice- and percussion-based music, the members of Deep Rumba allow their talents and spirits to soar…

The Rumba Foundation is Jesse Cook's eighth studio album and one of his best. He introduces new features like two very short tracks with flamenco guitar improvisations, and for the first time he plays a rendition of a well known hit of Simon & Garfunkel, "Cecilia", with vocals by the very popular canadian singer - songwirter, Jeremy Fisher. This collaboration contributed very much to the huge success of this album, in the canadian audience. "The rumba foundation", is a spectacular and uplifting album, for any nouveau flamenco lover. Enjoy.

Album released in Spain compilation of 12 songs anthology of flamenco rumba and originally recorded in analog between 1957 and 1972. Rumba is a style that has been able to incorporate a large number of mergers and mystification, from the flowering of the so-called Catalan rumba, disco rumba, pop rumba, etc., which has allowed it to maintain its popularity today. But in earlier times the rumba was born and lived with another character, most located in the flamenco environment and 'tablados'. The selection here shows some of those recorded earlier, also on topics outside the popular flamenco singers voices today as historical as missing or Gypsy Prince, Chano Lobato, Rafael Farina or Peret.
