May Sikorowska - Krakow singer, singing the Greek. He has had several years of stage with the band under the Buda and his father, Andrew Sikorowskim, with whom she recorded three albums: "Kraków -Thessaloniki" (gold plate, nominated Frederick), "family matter" and the occasional publication of pastorales and kolędami- "Snow wafer thin". He sings a song in various literary conventions - from ballads to blues rock. Kroke (Yiddish means Kraków) was formed in 1992 by three friends: Thomas Kukurba (viola), George Buffalo (accordion) and Tomasz Lato (double bass). Team members have gone through all the stages of classical music education, also behind experiments with jazz and modern music. Initially, the band was associated with klezmer music with strong Balkan influences.
Maja Ratkje is a remarkable vocalist and composer based in Norway. Her work ranges from orchestral and chamber works to electronics, improvisation and creative combinations of all of the above. This special collection of Maja’s work showcases several aspects of this composer’s unique and intense approach to sound and features two of her most personal chamber works along with electronic and electro-acoustic works for voice, saxophone and more.
