The music on Ainda was the soundtrack for the film Lisbon Story by the German director Wim Wenders. Wenders had known the band before and appreciated their music very much, so he decided that they should not only write the soundtrack but also appear and act as themselves in the film. The songs on this album are of a deep tranquility and beauty; they make one want to board the next plane to Lisbon and roam the steep, narrow streets of the Portuguese capital in search of the essence of life…

Sublime album of Madredeus with the music and songs from the Wim Wenders' 1994 film "Lisbon Story". Never has melancholy sounded this beautiful. The songs in Ainda offer vivid descriptions of Lisbon, and somehow show the city in its spiritual dimension too. Poetry, pure beauty and the magical voice of Teresa Salgueiro. Maybe the best album of Madredeus. Enjoy.

Wolfgang Sawallisch (26 August 1923 – 22 February 2013) was a German conductor and pianist. (…) When he debuted at the Bayreuth Festspielhaus conducting Tristan und Isolde in 1957, he was the youngest conductor ever to appear there. (…) For thirty years, he was closely associated with musical events in Munich. Here he conducted practically all of the major Richard Strauss operas, Salome being the sole exception. He also conducted 32 complete Richard Wagner Ring des Nibelungen cycles and is credited with nearly 1200 opera performances in the city alone…

Taken from the best Debussy cycle to appear in the CD era, these repackagings gather the items that one-disc-at-a-time buyers tend to miss. Playing combines flair, care, and great musical enjoyment. High points include the superb Anne Queffélec as solo pianist in the Fantaisie and some rare items: the Rapsodie for alto sax, the whimsical orchestration of La plus que lente featuring cimbalom, and piano pieces scored by other hands. The Ulster Hall acoustic is spacious but clear.

Album-rock artists like Roxy Music always make a difficult subject for comprehensive, multi-disc box sets. Frequently, their albums were designed as a cohesive whole and the idea of individual singles never really entered the picture at all. Roxy Music was slightly different than the average art/prog-rock band – not only did they make albums, they also made singles. And that is one of the reasons why the four-disc set The Thrill of It All is successful. Roxy's songs stand as individual works, and they make sense outside of their original context, even if they make more sense within their original context.

After nearly 10 years since their last studio release, Night Ranger returned with their first album of the '90s, FEEDING OFF THE MOJO. While many longtime fans were happy to see the band back in business, some were upset that the album only featured two original members–guitarist Brad Gillis, and drummer/singer Kelly Keagy (bassist/singer Jack Blades, guitarist Jeff Watson, and keyboardist Alan Fitzgerald were all absent)…

Nobody Else is the third studio album by British boy band Take That. It was released on 8 May 1995 in the UK, Europe and Asia. The album includes the singles "Sure", "Back for Good" (which remains the group's most successful song to date) and "Never Forget". It would become Take That's last studio album to be recorded before they disbanded in 1996. Nobody Else also became the last album to feature Robbie Williams until his return to the band in 2010 for Progress. The single release of "Never Forget" in July 1995 marked the departure of Robbie Williams, who started a solo career the following year…

It sat on the top of the country charts for 11 weeks and went double platinum, making it one of the biggest hits in either Waylon Jennings' or Willie Nelson's catalog. Years after its initial 1978 release, Waylon & Willie remains one of their biggest-selling albums, but its perennial popularity has more to do with their iconic status – something this album deliberately played up – than the quality of the music, which is, overall, merely good. Released in early 1978, a few months after Jennings' Ol' Waylon spent 13 weeks on the top of the charts in the summer of 1977, thanks in part to the hit single "Luckenbach, Texas" featuring a chorus sung by Nelson…
