Louis Armstrong was one of the most influential jazz musicians of the 20th Century thanks to the way he improvised with his trumpet. Among non-jazz fans, "Satchmo" is best known for singing ballads like "What a Wonderful World".
The traditional Louis Armstrong - the funky, dixieland influenced bandleader - is hard to spot on this album. Instead, you get a funky and eclectic collection of songs that works well together - not unlike a big pot 'o gumbo.
Good news for KISS fans as another album featuring some rare material has been released. The Many Faces Of Kiss album features a Vinnie Vincent demo, the original demo of “Is That You?” from its original writer and covers of KISS classics by groups such as Shameless, Ron Keel (with Richard Kendrick) and Loaded Dice.
