Long Live Rock 'n' Roll may be singer Ronnie James Dio's last album with Rainbow, but at least he went out on a high note. While the material is not quite as strong as on the previous studio effort, Rising, Long Live Rock 'n' Roll maintains the momentum the band had built up. "Kill the King" had been previously heard on the live On Stage record, but here it sounds more fully realized…

Also, the title track from the album stands as one of the best songs the band did, not to mention a noble sentiment. The chugging "L.A. Connection" is another highlight.

Long Live Rock 'n' Roll is the third studio album released by Rainbow, released in 1978. Although Bob Daisley & David Stone are listed on the album credits for their contributions they joined the band part way through the recording sessions and only appear on a couple of tracks. (Stone part wrote "Gates of Babylon" but was never credited). Blackmore played most of the bass parts himself for the album.

Space are an English indie band from Liverpool, who came to prominence in the mid-1990s with hit singles such as "Female of the Species", "Me and You Versus the World", "Neighbourhood", "Avenging Angels" and "The Ballad of Tom Jones". They worked with both Tom Jones in 1999 and Cerys Matthews a year earlier. The band had formed in 1993 and released three studio albums, plus a number of charting singles, before eventually disbanding in 2005. In 2011, two years after the death of original drummer Andy Parle, the band announced they would reunite with Tommy Scott, Jamie Murphy and Franny Griffiths returning alongside three new members…

This may be the best series of rockabilly compilations I've run across, and I've blown a lot of money on some mediocre crap. You get a ton of solid senders from fairly obscure names that run the gamut from hillbilly to rockin' boppers.

2016 release from the British rock/pop icon. Sir Cliff Richard was originally referred to as the UK's answer to Elvis Presley but he quickly established his own identity and has adapted and flourished over the years as one of Britain's most beloved entertainers. On this album, he revisits the rock 'n' roll gems that inspired his career 60 years ago. The album features covers of 'Roll Over Beethoven', 'She's Got It' and a brand new track titled 'It's Better To Dream'.
