A concert documentary of Led Zeppelin's December 10, 2007 tribute performance for Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun.
Celebration Day is a concert film by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, recorded at the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert on 10 December 2007, in London's O2 Arena. The film was given a limited theatrical run starting on 17 October 2012, and was released on several home audio and video formats on 19 November 2012.
Contrary to popular perception, Led Zeppelin isn't exactly averse to reunions. If anything, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant can't keep away from each other. Just four years after John Bonham's 1980 death, Page laid down guitar on Robert Plant's oldies act the Honeydrippers, and not long after that, John Paul Jones joined the pair for a performance at 1985's Live Aid…
Multi-platinum-selling band TRAIN is set to pay homage to one of their biggest musical inspirations with the first cover album of their career called DOES LED ZEPPELIN II. The album is set for release on June 3, 2016 on Crush Music in association with Atlantic Records, Led Zeppelin’s record label, which released the original Led Zeppelin II in October 1969. The nine-track collection follows the original Led Zeppelin II track listing, including classic hit songs such as “Ramble On” and “Whole Lotta Love.” The album, available for pre-order now, will be available on CD, limited edition vinyl, digital download, and all streaming services.
The second wave of reissues in Led Zeppelin‘s overhaul of their classic catalog pretty much follows the path set by the first: remastered versions of the original albums on one disc, and alternate takes and mixes (along with the occasional rare cut) on the other. The band’s self-titled 1969 debut included live tracks, but all of the others so far — including the new ‘IV’ and ‘Houses of the Holy’ — have basically replicated the original LPs with different versions of the same songs. That doesn’t give fans looking for more obscure Zeppelin tracks much to reach for, but Led Zeppelin weren’t ones to waste much. During the decade in which they recorded their eight albums, very few songs were left unreleased. Only one B-side — 1970's ‘Immigrant Song’ flip, ‘Hey Hey What Can I Do’ — even surfaced during their run. So don’t expect to hear any recently unearthed gems on the remastered deluxe editions of 1971's ’IV’ and 1973's ’Houses of the Holy.’
