Inspired by the Academy Award-winning film, An American in Paris brings this classic tale to Broadway, for the first time, with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin and a book by Tony and Pulitzer Prize nominee Craig Lucas. The show is directed and choreographed by Olivier Award winner and Artistic Associate of The Royal Ballet, U.K., Christopher Wheeldon. An American in Paris is the romantic story of a young American soldier, a beautiful French girl and an indomitable city, each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of World War II. The show had its Broadway premiere on April 12 at The Palace Theater. The score was adapted, arranged and supervised by Rob Fisher with orchestrations by Christopher Austin and musical direction by Brad Haak.

Bioprocessing of Plant In Vitro Systems By Atanas Pavlov

This handbook presents how plant in vitro technologies can overcome current limitations in the production of important plant-derived substances. It explains the advantages of plant in vitro technologies, notably the independence from climatic and soil conditions and the ability to synthesize diverse bioactive substances under controlled conditions. Apart from making diverse metabolites, which can be used e.g. as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, flavors, colors, biopesticides or food additives, more easily and more efficiently available, the methods described in this handbook also offer the advantage that rare and threatened plants, which provide access to interesting and desired substances, can be better protected, when the substances are harvested from suitable plant in vitro systems.

My first band, a College band that was formed in Birmingham UK back in 1978 when I was 18 years of age and the band ran through to 1980 During that time the band gigged and recorded many songs in demo format on a teac reel to reel machine. Some songs were covers to get us out on the road, some self penned by Tim Dunn and Rick Lambe mainly although, Robert Smith contributed a couple of works.

Reissue with latest remastering. Comes with new liner notes. The first of two sets recorded during a weekend in 1961 features the Miles Davis Quintet at a period of time when Hank Mobley was on tenor and the rhythm section was comprised of pianist Wynton Kelly, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Jimmy Cobb. What is most remarkable is the way Kelly fits into this particular blend of the Miles band. Kelly's interplay with Chambers is especially brilliant, because his sense of blues phrasing inside counterpoint harmony is edgy and large, with left-hand chords in the middle register rather than sharp right-hand runs to accentuate choruses.

Female blues singer and songwriter Zola Moon was born in San Jose, CA, but her powerful song stylings might mislead listeners to guess that she was raised in the Deep South of Louisiana or Mississippi on grounds better known for producing great blues artists. She is self-taught, though she does mention numerous musical influences, ranging from B. B. King and Muddy Waters to Hank Williams and Tina Turner. Even with all of those wonderful influences, Zola Moon has worked hard to keep her sound all her own. Lost in the BluesZola Moon began her career in blues about 1983, in the San Francisco area. After seven years of performing, which helped her grow a large fan base, she finally released a debut album in 1990. It was titled Dangerous Love and recorded under the BareMoon Records label. Five years later, and with a new label, she finished work on an enjoyable sophomore offering, Lost in the Blues. It was followed in 1998 by Almost Crazy and then in 2000 by Earthquakes, Thunder, and Smiling Lighting. Some of the original blues tunes fans can sample on Zola Moon's albums are "Doll House," "Lucky Me," "I Look at the Fool," "Imagination," "Alley Cat," "Hollywood to the Hood," and "I Don't Think So."

Excellent addition to any Prog-Rock music collection
This one is the jewel of Symphonic and Psychedelic-Rock from Latin America in the early seventies.
The name of the band was “Frutos Del País”, and I could compare their music with Procol Harum, which is clearly their main influence.
