This double CD is just what it says: all three of the albums Lee Hazlewood recorded for MGM in 1965-1967, with the addition of three instrumentals attributed to Lee Hazlewood's Woodchucks (two of which came out on a 1966 single, the third of which, "Batman," was previously unissued). His first two MGM LPs, The Very Special World of Lee Hazlewood (released in 1966) and the far more imaginatively titled Lee Hazlewood-ism: Its Cause and Cure (1967), together comprise the 22 songs presented on the first disc.

An excellent Alvin Lee work from 1978 - with "Ten Years Later". this is the first I've seen it on Cd {except for mine burned off the record}! Great guitar riffs Alvin Lee style in "rocket fuel" and "ain't nothing shakin" for example. also an ethereal piece called "the devil's screaming - part 1 and 2". A must for all Alvin Lee fans if you can get it!

Label: Finland / Johanna Kustannus | Release: 2010 | MP3 VBR 192-231 kbps | 380 MB
Genre: Suomirockabilly, Rock & Roll

Slap That Bass! is a 4cd box set that is full of the finest finnish rockabilly and 50′s style rock’n'roll. It was compiled by Mikko Aaltonen and released by Johanna Kustannus on 17th of february. I know this might not totally fall into that “finnish pop” category, but it’s an important release nevertheless. Actually it’s worthy of those onechord’s imaginary culture awards and even though I’m not a huge rockabilly fan, Slap That Bass!

Lee Aaron is an award-winning singer, musician, and songwriter who has reinvented herself many times over during her long career. Lee Aaron, formerly known as Karen Greening, was Canada's self-proclaimed 'Metal Queen'. She was one of the first women to have a successful solo career in heavy metal music. After the international success of Fire and Gasoline, rocker Lee Aaron returns with her best in decades. It is an extraordinary blend of hard-blues, rock n roll and hard-rock that pays homage to the giants of the late 60s and 70s. From the opening riffs of originals such as Diamond Baby & American High, to her impassioned version of Deep Purple's Mistreated & the Koko Taylor's anthem, I'm a Woman, she captivates and impresses with a performance that may well be the finest of her career!
