"Frontiers" is the eighth studio album by the American Rock band Journey, released in February 1983 on the Columbia Records label. This is the last album to feature bassist Ross Valory until 1996's Trial by Fire. The album reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and would garner four top 40 singles: "After the Fall" (No. 23), "Send Her My Love" (No. 23), "Faithfully" (No. 12), and "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" (No. 8), and a rock radio hit in "Chain Reaction". The album would later achieve the RIAA certification of six times platinum. "Frontiers" was the band's highest-charting album in the United Kingdom, reaching No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart in 1983.

"Trial by Fire" is the tenth studio album by American rock band Journey. Released on October 22, 1996, the album marked the reunion of the classic 1980s lineup, which had not recorded together since 1983's Frontiers. Trial by Fire was produced by Kevin Shirley, who continues to produce the band's albums until now. The first album to feature bassist Ross Valory since Frontiers and the last to feature vocalist Steve Perry and drummer Steve Smith until he rejoined Journey in 2015.

"Raised on Radio" is the ninth studio album by the American rock band Journey, released in May 1986 on the Columbia Records label. It is the only album to feature bassist Randy Jackson, bassist Bob Glaub and drummer Larrie Londin. The album spawned four top 40 singles in the US: "Girl Can't Help It" (No. 17), "Be Good to Yourself" (No. 9), "I'll Be Alright Without You" (No. 14), and "Suzanne" (No. 17). Generations is the twelfth studio album by the American rock band Journey. Evolution is the fifth studio album by Journey. Released in April 1979 on Columbia Records, their first album to feature drummer Steve Smith. It was the band's most successful album at that time, selling three million copies in the US and charting at #20 on the Billboard 200. They retained Roy Thomas Baker (Best known for his work with Queen.) as producer, but drummer Aynsley Dunbar was replaced with Steve Smith, formerly with Ronnie Montrose's band.
