Kerygmatic Project was born in 1998, created by Samuele TADINI, Danilo NOBILI and Marco CAMPAGNOLO, with the purpose of composing original music that recover in style and construction the great British progressive rock tradition of the seventies and eighties, renewed tradition with a new key able to embrace different styles, so as to constitute an original sound well recognizable. The Kerygmatic Project compositions are affected, in fact, from the contributions of various genres taken by rock, pop, jazz, fusion and classical music compositions, by proposing that, in fact, could hardly be categorized in a precise genre and that are the result a well-defined philosophy.

Human Rights as Political Imaginary by José Julián López
English | EPUB | 2018 | 476 Pages | ISBN : 3319742736 | 0.5 MB

In this book, López proposes the ‘political imaginary’ model as a tool to better understand what human rights are in practice, and what they might, or might not, be able to achieve. Human rights are conceptualised as assemblages of relatively stable, but not unchanging, historically situated, and socially embedded practices. Drawing on an emerging iconoclastic historiography of human rights, the author provides a sympathetic yet critical overview of the field of the sociology of human rights.

In 1958, in New York City, the upper class Diane Arbus is a frustrated and lonely woman with a conventional marriage with two daughters. Her husband is a photographer sponsored by the wealthy parents of Diane, and she works as his assistant. When Lionel Sweeney, a mysterious man with hypertrichosis (a.k.a. werewolf syndrome, a disease that causes excessive body hair), comes to live in the apartment in the upper floor, Diane feels a great attraction for him and is introduced to the world of freaks and marginalized people, falling in love with Lionel.

Ambient, Electronic | Label: Virgin EMI Records

The second volume in Virgin's priceless Ambient series is a bit of a retread from the first, alternating classics from Virgin's rich back catalog with the new school of ambient electronica (of which, the label's store is much harder to come by). The result is an Orb remix (of the Grid) instead of a normal Orb track; the only other contemporary acts are the Future Sound of London project Amorphous Androgynous, William Orbit's Bass-O-Matic, Tony Thorpe's Voyager, and such intriguing but obviously label-centric acts as Verve and U2's The Edge. As far as classic ambient tracks go, Virgin is tops – Eno, Sakamoto, Robert Fripp, David Sylvian, Phil Manzanera, Klaus Schulze – though the lack of more up-to-date acts can be frustrating.
Imaginary Cities: A Tour of Dream Cities, Nightmare Cities, and Everywhere in Between

English | April 6th, 2017 | ISBN: 022647030X | 576 Pages | EPUB | 1.08 MB

For as long as humans have gathered in cities, those cities have had their shining—or shadowy—counterparts. Imaginary cities, potential cities, future cities, perfect cities. It is as if the city itself, its inescapable gritty reality and elbow-to-elbow nature, demands we call into being some alternative, yearned-for better place.

Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying of PENTATONIX formed a splinter group called SUPERFRUIT in late 2016, surprising fans with a stand-alone single. The project allows them to have more creative freedom and explore genres beyond their trademark a cappella fare. Which is probably why they sound so excited about their two-part debut EP, "Future Friends". This full-lenght album is the final release in the duo's Future Friends series. The album serves as a compilation album, containing the entire contents of both of the extended plays, a bonus track, and an additional remix not seen on either of the other releases. If the colorful cover art is anything to go by, expect bright, upbeat pop songs.

Bassist and producer Bill Laswell has dabbled in several varieties of African music over the long and circuitous course of his career, with uneven results. But Latin America is a region he's left largely alone, until now. Imaginary Cuba finds him taking an approach somewhat similar to the one he employed on his Off World One project – building on a foundation of field recordings, he constructs complex and often dub-inflected sound collages that sound like no one but Laswell while still maintaining respect for the music's origins.
