Whichever way you look at this is a significant show: the last time King Crimson played anywhere in mainland Europe. As such there’s a certain end-of-term aspect here - a rushing Dinosaur, a final flush in the cheeks of Red as it hits the finishing line. Humour plays its part as well when Belew quips to quell the photographers before a dazzling ConstruKction of Light.
The Nice - Elegy (1971) Philips/6303 011 - Original DE Demo Pressing - LP/FLAC In 24bit/96kHz - ONLY RE-POST

The Nice - Elegy
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz / 900mb
Label: Philips/6303 011 | Release: 1971 | Genre: Symphonic-Rock

Excellent addition to any prog rock music collection.
Although admittedly a posthumous release, I was very surprised at the rather dismissive tenor of many of the reviews of this album to date. Hopefully this record will be reappraised soon as being a release worthy of anyone's consideration as I feel it does enhance an already rich legacy left behind by this very fine and innovative band. (So what if Charisma wanted to ride the slipstream of the lucrative ELP juggernaut?)

Vanilla Fudge are a pioneering psychedelic band with a superb lineup and are famous for psyching up well known cover versions. Their debut albums features some of their best and most popular material such as the stunning' You Keep Me Hanging On', 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'She's Not There'.
Solaris - Marsbéli Krónikák (1984) Start/SLPM 17819 - HU Pressing - LP/FLAC In 24bit/96kHz & 16bit/44kHz

Solaris - Marsbéli Krónikák (The Martian Chronicles)
Label: Start/SLPM 17819 | Released: 1984 | Genre: Symphonic-Rock
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC | 24bit/96kHz & 16bit/44kHz

Essential: a masterpiece of prog rock music.
Solaris' Marsbéli Krónikák is one of the few shining lights that got unnoticed during that bleak 1980s period of progressive rock, not to mention the fact that very few people in the West ever heard this album. It wasn't until the 1990s and exposure on the Internet, plus someone taking the time to reissue this on CD that the West finally got to hear this amazing gem from this five-piece instrumental band from Hungary. I first discovered the band by reading their entry in the GEPR in the late 1990s.

Weather Report's ever-changing lineup shifts again, with the somewhat heavier funk-oriented Leon "Ndugu" Chancler dropping into the drummer's chair and Alyrio Lima taking over the percussion table. As a result, Tale Spinnin' has a weightier feel than Mysterious Traveller, while continuing the latter's explorations in Latin-spiced electric jazz/funk. Zawinul's pioneering interest in what we now call world music is more in evidence with the African percussion, wordless vocals, and sandy sound effects of "Badia," and his synthesizer sophistication is growing along with the available technology. Wayne Shorter's work on soprano sax is more animated than on the previous two albums and Alphonso Johnson puts his melodic bass more to the fore. While not quite as inventive as its two predecessors, this remains an absorbing extension of WR's mid-'70s direction.
