Siberia has had an interesting history, quite distinct from that of Russia. Absolutely vast, containing many non-Russian nationalities, and increasingly important at present because of its huge energy reserves, Siberia was at one time part of the Mongol Empire, was settled relatively late by the Russians, and…
Pee Wee Crayton - Pee Wee's Blues: The Complete Aladdin And Imperial Recordings (1996)

Pee Wee Crayton - Pee Wee's Blues: The Complete Aladdin And Imperial Recordings (1996)
Texas Blues, West Coast Blues | MP3 320 kbps CBR | 47 min | 112 MB
Label: Capitol Records | Rel: 1996

Recruited by the Aladdin label in october 1951, Pee Wee is recording, from the following month, his first tracks with Maxwell Davis orchestra ("When it rains it pours"). But, the work with this label quickly stops due to lack of success. He signed with Imperial in june 1954 and found himself in the J&M studio in New Orleans. His guitar playing is more precise and elaborated and his singing more accomplished. Lots of highlights emerge like "Do unto others", "Hurry hurry", "I got news for you" and "Blues before dawn". He cut also "I need your love" which won a beautiful public success. End of 1955, we note that the single "Don't go" / "I must go on" was released under the Post imprint (owned by Imperial). His Imperial period, although very high artistic quality, seems a little less catchy and spontaneous than his Modern period. At that time, Pee Wee Crayton was one of the first guitarists to play on a Fender Stratocaster (given to him by Leo Fender himself).

A history of the peolpes of Siberia: Russia's North Asian Colony 1581-1990

James Forsyth, "A history of the peolpes of Siberia: Russia's North Asian Colony 1581-1990"
Cambridge University Press | October 28, 1994 | ISBN: 0521477719 | PDF | 476 pages | 9.9 MB

This is the first ethnohistory of Siberia to appear in English, and presents to an anglophone audience a vast corpus of previously inaccessible ethnographic and linguistic material. It covers from the early history of Siberia after the Russian conquest to collectivization and conscription during World War II and to the 1980s movement ror native rights. In this, the first substantive "post-Glasnost" account to appear, James Forsyth compares the Siberian experience with that of Indians and Eskimos in North America.
