Le 8 décembre a marqué les 150 ans de Georges Méliès. Pour les fêter : la sortie en salles de ce qui est considéré comme son chef-d’œuvre, "Le Voyage dans la lune" (1902) dans une version inédite, colorisée, par ses ateliers, accompagné d’un documentaire fabuleux sur la restauration de la copie originale : "Le Voyage extraordinaire". Événement exceptionnel à l’ouverture du dernier Festival de Cannes 2011 : la projection de la version retrouvée du "Voyage dans la lune" de Méliès en couleur ! Les journalistes mis hors jeu bougonnent et réclament une projection de presse. Les organisateurs obtempèrent. Depuis le film fait le buzz, Méliès aurait adoré ça. Aujourd’hui, le film sort dans les salles. Magique !

De retour sur Terre, ils tombent dans la mer où ils sont accueillis avec les honneurs. Décorés publiquement, ils exposeront un sélénite prisonnier qui était resté accroché à l'obus !
