USA Fellow and five-time Grammy-winning trumpeter/composer Terence Blanchard has been a consistent artistic force for making powerful musical statements concerning painful American tragedies – past and present. With his band The E-Collective he addresses the staggering cyclical epidemic of gun violence in America with his new album "Live" - 7 powerful songs recorded in concert that both reflect the bitter frustration of the conscious masses while also providing a balm of emotional healing. With a title that carries a pointed double meaning, the album is an impassioned continuation of the band’s GRAMMY-nominated 2015 studio recording, "Breathless"…

Powerful jazz-rock fusion with a touch of funk, "Wired" is Beck's follow-up to the popular "Blow By Blow". Extending on the blues breakthroughs he made with the Yardbirds, Beck's style had by this time crystalized into something lyric and soaring, showing the influence of John McLaughlin and The Mahavishnu Orchestra, while retaining the slightly manic edge that has remained his trademark.

By 1990, pop phenomenon-turned-solo megastar George Michael was ready to reveal more of his introspection and social conscience. Listen Without Prejudice is an intimate and beautiful album that employs aching balladry to despair for a conflict-torn world (“Praying for Time”, “Mothers Pride”) and fuses hushed folk with James Brown to mourn lost love (“Waiting for That Day”). Even the gloriously uplifting gospel-dance sound of “Freedom! ’90” houses a cautionary tale about fame’s soul-sapping effects. Leaning largely on his 1996 album Older, the stripped-back MTV Unplugged section of this remastering emphasises what an arrestingly soulful singer and songwriter Michael was.

Actor Lorne Greene enjoyed a brief recording career in the mid-'60s, when he was at the height of his popularity thanks to his role as Ben Cartwright on the long-running Western series "Bonanza". In the meantime, NBC, hoping to capitalize on the series' popularity, brought several cast members into the recording studio. Greene released his first album in 1963, and the following year he scored a surprise number one smash with "Ringo", a Western story song he narrated rather than sang. Greene charted a couple more times with 1965's "The Man" and 1966's "Waco", and released a total of five albums on RCA Victor from 1963 to 1966. Afterwards, he returned to acting full-time, most notably appearing in the TV miniseries "Roots" and starring in the sci-fi series "Battlestar Galactica", as well as narrating numerous documentaries.
