Pablo Cruise achieved some measure of success during the latter part of the '70s with their mellow, easygoing California pop. The band was formed in 1973 by former members of Stoneground and It's a Beautiful Day: guitarist Dave Jenkins, keyboardist Cory Lerios, bassist Bud Cockrell, and drummer Steve Price…

Cardboard sleeve (mini LP) reissue from Bill Evans featuring the high-fidelity SHM-CD format (compatible with standard CD players) and the latest 24bit/96kHz digital remastering. Part of a 5-album Bill Evans SHM-CD cardboard sleeve reissue series featuring albums "I Will Say Goodbye," "Alone (Again)," "Intuition," "Re: Person I Knew," and "Jazzhouse." This set is one of two albums (both reissued on CD) recorded by the Bill Evans Trio (with bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Marty Morell) at Copenhagen's Montmartre on one night in 1969 but not released initially until the late '80s. Evans sounds relaxed and swinging playing his usual repertoire. All of the songs (mostly standards) have been recorded by Evans at other times but the pianist's many fans certainly will not mind hearing these "alternate" versions of such tunes as "How Deep Is the Ocean," "How My Heart Sings," "Sleepin' Bee" and a light-hearted "California Here I Come."

Part of a 5-album Bill Evans SHM-CD cardboard sleeve reissue series featuring albums "I Will Say Goodbye," "Alone (Again)," "Intuition," "Re: Person I Knew," and "Jazzhouse." The Village Vanguard and Bill Evans have been linked in jazz history since the pianist's first trio recorded Sunday at the Village Vanguard and Waltz for Debby at the club in 1961. Evans returned often, and was later asked by owner Max Gordon to select the house piano. These eight tracks were recorded during the 1974 visit that also produced Since We Met, and offer an accurate sampling of his club sets of the time–a mix of old favorites and newer material, including five Evans originals and a budding interpretation of a Herbie Hancock tune.

Cardboard sleeve (mini LP) reissue from Bill Evans featuring the high-fidelity SHM-CD format (compatible with standard CD players) and the latest 24bit/96kHz digital remastering. Part of a 5-album Bill Evans SHM-CD cardboard sleeve reissue series featuring albums "I Will Say Goodbye," "Alone (Again)," "Intuition," "Re: Person I Knew," and "Jazzhouse." After seven years of their close relationship in his trio, Bill Evans in 1974 finally realized his dream of recording a duo album with bassist Eddie Gomez. Intuition is that album. One of the most brilliant of the young bassists influenced by Scott LaFaro, Gomez continued development of the role of the bass in Evans's trio as a fully contributory voice, not just a member of the rhythm section.

Before he was in Kingdom Come, Lenny Wolf (possessor of without a doubt one of the best voices in hard rock) was in Stone Fury. This was his first band after coming to LA from Germany, and it's good stuff. This is the first of two studio albums Stone Fury put out, and possesses the moderate hit Break Down the Walls. Stone Fury isn't as polished as Kingdom Come, with a rawer sound, but KC fans will love this.

Camel was still finding its signature sound on its eponymous debut album. At this point, Peter Bardens and his grand, sweeping organ dominate the group's sound and Andrew Latimer sounds tentative on occasion.

Supertramp followed an unusual path to commercial success in the 1970s, fusing the stylistic ambition and instrumental dexterity of progressive rock with the wit and tuneful melodies of British pop, and the results made them one of the most popular British acts of the '70s and ‘80s, topping the charts and filling arenas around the world at a time when their style of music was supposed to have fallen out of fashion. Cardboard sleeve (mini LP) reissue from Traffic featuring the high-fidelity SHM-CD format (fully compatible with standard CD players). Part of a ten-album Traffic SHM-CD Cardboard sleeve (mini LP) reissue series featuring the albums "Mr. Fantasy," "Heaven is in Your Mind," "Traffic," "Last Exit," "John Barleycorn Must Die," "Welcome To The Canteen," "THe Low Spark of High Heeled Boys," "Shoot Out at the Fantasy Factory," "On The Road," and "When The Eagle Flies." Since Traffic's debut album, Mr. Fantasy, has been issued in different configurations over the years, a history of those differences is in order. In 1967, the British record industry considered albums and singles separate entities; thus, Mr. Fantasy did not contain the group's three previous Top Ten U.K. hits. Just as the album was being released in the U.K., Traffic split from Dave Mason.
