To mark their 30th anniversary The Wonder Stuff release their eighth studio album, '30 Goes Around The Sun', on March 19th 2016 - thirty years to the day since the band first walked into a rehearsal studio in the heart of The Black Country in 1986. The band chose to revisit it's old stomping ground of Stourbridge to record the album and even managed to persuade renowned heavy metal and hard rock producer, Simon Efemey (Paradise Lost/Napalm Death/The Wildhearts), to return to his home town to produce the record.
Assembled from various shows from various tours from around the world, 2016's Live: Greatest Hits from Around the World is billed as ZZ Top's first "full-length live album" – a matter of dispute considering how Eagle Rock released three CD/DVD/Blu-ray combo sets between 2008 and 2014. There is no visual component to Live: Greatest Hits from Around the World, which may be how it skates around the first live album distinction – if there's no video, this is a pure album – but the record mines a similar musical vein, collecting highlights from latter-day ZZ Top tours. During the 2000s and 2010s, ZZ Top released an excellent studio album called La Futura, but that's ignored here in favor for all the songs that are classic rock staples…
This themed album from Quincy Jones and his orchestra contains songs from around the world, as the title suggests. Around the World was aimed at fans who like their quality big band music easy on the ear, for though there is some nice soloing by Clark Terry, Phil Woods, Sahib Shihab and Benny Bailey, these are primarily lushly voiced atmospheric arrangements delivered by a brilliant, airy and swinging band. Released in 1961, the LP includes several original numbers and a handful of standards.
BAI BANG’s recipe for hits is based on the basics, short tracks, easy living melodies and lots of energies. The music shows passion and how veteran these guys really are. It can only last as long as you will let it flow, nothing boring here. BAI BANG play it as both a party and of the real Rock N’ Roll life. Every follower of melodic Hard Rock and a fan of bands like L.A. GUNS, H.E.A.T., STEEL PANTHER and THE POODLES will be in cloud nine during while listening to this album.
The Sharks were formed in 1979 with Richard Black vocalist and Spencer Sercombe guitarist, they tried their hand at bringing 80's rock to a new level. Putting their soul and heart into every performance Shark Island never really came to the heights of success like some major L.A. bands like Van Halen, Guns N' Roses but they did have their cult following. … and in 2006, they are back with a new release “Gathering of the Faithful”. This CD is not just about reaching the hard rock fans; it's about reaching the hearts and the true music fan especially with the tune “I Had A Dream”. Powerful vocals, great lyrics, makes incredible music!
