This little gem is a complete economics education for high-school age students. It provides lessons, study questions, activities, and an excellent list of readings for each topic under consideration. Bettina chose well because the readings all hold up, even though the syllabus came out in 1974. It still works as an excellent course in economics. It is meant to be used alongside the book of readings (free makert economics: a reader) also available from Mises dot org and on amazon. Together the set will put any student on the road to a lifetime of economic understanding.

Myths of the Free Market by Kenneth Friedman
English | ISBN: 0875862233 | 2003 | PDF | 276 pages | 1,5 mb

Myths of the Free Market is arguably the most significant book in economics and politics since John Maynard Keynes. It systematically presents a broad range of telling criticisms of free market economics, criticisms that have not been presented elsewhere. Despite our genuine faith in the free market, laissez faire has not maximized wealth.

Free Market Missionaries: The Corporate Manipulation of Community Values by Sharon Beder

In this tightly researched and incendiary book, "communications rottweiler" Sharon Beder exposes how our community values have been sacrificed by economic and political power brokers–today’s free market missionaries–on the altar of free market economics.
