Two CDs of cast-offs, rehearsals and muck-abouts from the Peter Green era. This was the period when Fleetwood Mac was shuffling off its purist's blues incarnation in favour of Peter Green's sophisticated and eerie pop compositions. Included are tentative stabs at Drifting (here named Fast Talking Woman Blues) and much of the sessions for the wonderful Then Play On - the Working For Madge jam, Underway, Coming Your Way, Oh Well and so on.

In 1992 Fleetwood Mac had reached their 25th year as a band. This {now deleted} 4 CD box set was the half-hearted attempt by the band's record company to celebrate a 1/4 century of the music from the mighty mac, but it lacks a bit of the attack that made them mighty to begin with. Well, there is both good news and bad to report about this box set collection.

Theese 3 LPs - recorded over three nights in February 1970 - contain Fleetwood Mac's legendary Boston tea party recordings. This is a sensational document of Fleetwood Mac at the absolute peak of their powers… This may also be the often released "Boston Tea Party" tapes from February 1970. These songs have shown up on multiple comps over the years. The Snapper 3 disc set from a few years back is the best so far. Great new mixes–nice mastering and a wonderful performance. Peter Green left the band a couple of months later but during these shows, he was still really putting a lot into it.

Fleetwood Mac was the subject of an all-star tribute back in 1998, when Legacy: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac's Rumours appeared. That full-length album tribute celebrated the Mac's biggest hit in a big way, concentrating entirely on major-label acts like Elton John and Matchbox 20, but 2012's Just Tell Me That You Want Me: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac is decidedly more eccentric, as its title – a line borrowed from "Tusk" – no doubt suggests. Apart from Marianne Faithfull and Billy Gibbons, along with Americana singer Trixie Whitley, every band here exists solely within the realm of indie rock and, collectively, there's been a decision to stray from the confines of the standards of the Buckingham/Nicks songbook, with Bob Welch and Peter Green eras almost as well-represented as oddities from Lindsey Buckingham's album tracks…

Mystery to Me is the eighth studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, originally released in October 1973. This was their last album to feature Bob Weston. Most of the songs were penned by guitarist/singer Bob Welch and keyboardist/singer Christine McVie, who were playing a major role in edging the band's sound towards the radio-friendly pop-rock that would make them highly successful a few years later. Although the album only sold moderately and produced no hit singles, "Hypnotized" did become an FM radio staple for many years. In the wake of the Buckingham/Nicks led line-up's success a few years later, it achieved Gold status in 1976.

Penguin is the seventh studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, originally released in March 1973. It was the first Fleetwood Mac album after the departure of Danny Kirwan and first to feature Bob Weston and the only one to feature Dave Walker. The penguin is the band mascot favoured by John McVie. His fascination with the birds originated from when he lived near London Zoo during the early days of his marriage to Christine McVie. He was a member of the Zoological Society and would spend hours at the zoo studying and watching the penguins.
