Superman: Emperor Joker Crossover Storyline Compilation Complete
9 CBR's in RAR | DC Comics | Published Sep - Oct 2000 | 54.93 MB Total

is a 9-part crossover storyline that appeared in DC Comics' then-ongoing Superman titles from September to October 2000, and written and drawn by many established names in comics, among them Jeph Loeb, J.M. DeMatteis, Mark Schultz, Joe Kelly, Ed McGuinness, Mike Miller, Doug Mahnke, Kano, etc. It is actually composed of two 4-part sub-storylines, "Superman: Arkham" followed by "Superman: The Reign of Emperor Joker", connected in the middle by the one-shot special titled , which is also the title of the collected issues released as a trade paperback much later in January 2007. The storyline in essence is this: Batman's archenemy The Joker is accidentally given nigh-unlimited reality-shaping powers by that imp from the 5th dimension, Mr. Mxyzptlk, and he reshapes the universe in his image which then becomes topsy-turvy to say the least; so it's up to Earth's greatest, and most confused heroes to stop him before he destroys all of existence.

The Joker is, without question, the turning point in Steve Miller's career, the album where he infused his blues with a big, bright dose of pop and got exactly what he deserved: Top Ten hits and stardom. He also lost a lot of fans, the ones who dug his winding improvs, because those spacy jams were driven by chops and revealed new worlds. The Joker isn't mind-expanding, it's party music, filled with good vibes, never laying a heavy trip, always keeping things light, relaxed and easygoing. Sometimes, the vibes are interrupted, but not in a harsh way – the second side slows a bit, largely due to the sludgy "Come in My Kitchen" and "Evil," the two songs that were recorded live…

No, not more Vivaldi Violin Concertos! How can there be any more? Have not decades of scholarships overturned every possible rock to find every possible violin concerto by the composer of The Four Seasons, everybody's perennial favorite? Although the answer is apparently not, that is, in fact, good news: that there are still more lovely, charming, hilarious, touching, and mind-bogglingly difficult Violin Concertos by Vivaldi should warm the hearts and open the wallets of classical music lovers around the world.

Luciferian Towers is the perfect name for a Godspeed You! Black Emperor album, matched only, perhaps, by the title of its 2000 classic Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven. In a way, this new one - the band’s third since reuniting in 2011 - feels like a bookend to Lift, in that it’s similarly powerful, but far more sinister. (If we want to extend that idea even further, “heaven” is in the title of one, “Lucifer” the other.)
