Dr. Frederic Treves (Anthony Hopkins) discovers Joseph (John) Merrick (John Hurt) in a sideshow. Born with a congenital disorder, Merrick uses his disfigurement to earn a living as the "Elephant Man." Treves brings Merrick into his home, discovering that his rough exterior hides a refined soul, and that Merrick can teach the stodgy British upper class of the time a lesson about dignity. Merrick becomes the toast of London and charms a caring actress (Anne Bancroft) before his death at 27.

Un éléphant ça trompe énormément (English: An Elephant Can Be Extremely Deceptive) is a French 1976 film directed by Yves Robert. It was remade as the 1984 American film The Woman in Red. The original title contains a pun that cannot be translated in English. The word "trompe" means both "trunk" (an elephant's organ) and "to cheat" (in a sexual/romantic way). The movie is about a married man's desire to have an affair with a model he just met.

Praised by critics as one of the best films of the year, The Elephant in the Living Room takes viewers on a journey deep inside the controversial American subculture of raising the most dangerous animals in the world, as common household pets. Set against the backdrop of a heated national debate, director Michael Webber chronicles the extraordinary story of two men at the heart of the issue – Tim Harrison, an Ohio police officer whose friend was killed by an exotic pet; and Terry Brumfield, a big-hearted man who struggles to raise two African lions that he loves like his own family. In the first of many unexpected twists, the lives of these two men collide when Terry’s male lion escapes its pen and is found attacking cars on a nearby highway.

Genre: Hard Rock | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: Talking Elephant (223111-311)

This 2 CD set is actually culled from 3 later Wishbone Ash efforts. It consists of all the tracks from 1996's "Illuminations", 5 tracks from 2002's acoustic effort "Bare Bones", and 3 tracks from "Bona Fide", also from 2002. How does it sound? The record label Talking Elephant is the home of Wishbone Ash and releases continually compilations, but this one does not add much to the already existing albums for the the fan. For those who till now do not own any of them it can be a good release.
