A CD release of the live at Plymouth 1978 weird tape. Just a great consistent recording albeit it's a live good sound quality of one of the best Hawkwind line up's (Hawklords) with Bob Calvert stealing the show as usual! Very much in tune with the new wave. Outstanding!

Recorded at Brunel University in November 1978 on the tour to promote the album Hawklords: 25 Years On , the Hawklords show was Dave Brock and Robert Calvert's vision of a mechanised society that perfectly embraced the influence of the musical New Wave to deliver some of the most effective music written during Calvert s tenure with Hawkwind. This new release comprises the band s entire set and is newly mixed from the original 24-track tapes and includes four previously unreleased tracks.

Live at Wembley '78 is a live recording by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). The sound on this album has led to accusations of the band Lip synching, as did the earlier video from which this CD was taken. However it has come to light that the sound used on the television broadcast of the Out of the Blue Concert in 1978 was a poorly mixed effort in mono sound that used a lot of the backing tapes that were used admittedly by the band due to sound problems caused by the huge metal and fibreglass stage set. The tapes were for the band's ears only, to help them keep time and should not have been heard by the audience.

Live at Winterland '76 is a live album by the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) released in 1998. Recorded in 1976 during the band's Face the Music Tour, this album, along with 1974's The Night the Light Went On in Long Beach are two official releases of the band performing live. Electric Light Orchestra was at the top of their game when this concert was recorded. The band was right in the middle of a run of Top 10 hits that started in 1973 (with their second LP, ELO II), and continued throughout the rest of the '70s.

Documentary which gets to the heart of who Jeff Lynne is and how he has had such a tremendous musical influence on our world. The story is told by the British artist himself and such distinguished collaborators and friends of Jeff as Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Olivia and Dhani Harrison, Barbara Orbison and Eric Idle. The film reveals that Lynne is a true man of music, for whom the recording studio is his greatest instrument. With access to Lynne in his studio above LA, this is an intimate account of a great British pop classicist who has ploughed a unique furrow since starting out on the Birmingham Beat scene in the early 60s, moving from the Idle Race to the multimillion-selling ELO in the 70s and then, with Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison and George Harrison, as a key member of the Traveling Wilburys.
