Images and Words is the second studio album by American progressive metal/rock band Dream Theater, released in 1992 through Atco Records. It is the first Dream Theater release to feature James LaBrie on vocals. The album maintains its position as the band's most commercially successful studio album to date, and the song "Pull Me Under" has the distinction of being the only top 10 hit (radio or otherwise) the band has ever had.
This two-DVD set is jam-packed with over three hours of footage consisting of live performances along with six music videos and memorable behind-the-scenes interviews. With their progressive metal style and exceptional musicianship, Dream Theater grew to prominence with their MTV hit "Pull Me Under" (available for the first time on DVD here) in 1992. During that time, Dream Theater developed a rabid fan base that remains with them today.
Live performance and documentary about the legendary band, following their rise to fame and fortune, and the history of their unconventional music.
Unfortunately, this fine live recording will always be remembered for the cover art. Released on September 11, 2001, the original cover displayed a flaming apple wrapped in barbed wire with the skyline of New York engulfed in flames. The band's trademark logo had always been a flaming heart wrapped in barbed wired, but for this recording the apple and skyline were added to reflect that the live concert was held in New York (Roseland Ballroom)…
This superb DVD will teach you to play seven tracks from this award winning progressive rock band highlighting the technical proficiency of guitar virtuoso John Petrucci. Includes guitar jam tracks.
Symphonic Theater Of Dreams is a tribute to Dream Theater. A band highly acclaimed in the progressive metal scene for more than two decades, Dream Theater has a huge following all across the globe. Michal Mierzejewski, a dedicated Dream Theater fan, had the idea in summer 2010 that he wanted to arrange Dream Theater songs in a 'classical' environment that had never been done before. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
