Time travel doesn't require a machine with flashing lights, spinning dials, and a warp engine—in fact, you were born with the power to navigate the timestream. Impossible? Not with the help of Dr. Quantum! The renowned "superhero of science" Fred Alan Wolf makes his triumphant return in Dr. Quantum Presents: Do-It-Yourself Time Travel. On this six-session audio journey down the wormhole of infinite possibility, Dr. Quantum provides you with the physics, insights, and practices you need to expand your power to journey through time and space.
Break Free from the Chains of Linear Time
"It may sound like science fiction," says Fred Alan Wolf, "but time travel is really not as far fetched as you might think." Learning the basics of time travel does not require training— rather, it calls for un-training from our habit of thinking of time in the "normal," linear way. In a modern age filled with clocks and calendars, we have limited our natural abilities to choose how we traverse time in our lives. With a few simple practices in the "Ancient Art of Cheating Time," Dr. Quantum helps you throw off the shackles of second-by-second clock time to help you vastly enhance the quality of each moment of your life.
But what about leaping into the future, hurtling back into the past, or peering into parallel realities? Fred Alan Wolf teaches you how to access these advanced powers of time travel through mastery of the "Five Fluctuations." Once you become a timetraveling "tachyonaut," you not only learn the skill of slipping the timestream, you also take profound spiritual steps toward achieving liberation from the ego, connecting to the universal consciousness, and overcoming the fear of death.

Traditionally, philosophers of quantum mechanics have addressed exceedingly simple systems: a pair of electrons in an entangled state, or an atom and a cat in Dr. Schrodinger's diabolical device.

Tangerine Dream have been a fundamental influence on electronic and progressive music since their formation in West Berlin, 1967. Inspiring genres, musicians and other art forms, from The Future Sound of London to Porcupine Tree, the widely popular TV show Stranger Things (for which their music also featured in) to seminal video game Grand Theft Auto V (for which they helped to write the soundtrack). The group have also received seven Grammy nominations, written over 100 studio albums and were led by Edgar Froese, who developed an instantly recognisable synth-based instrumental music based on a meditative musical experience that came to prominence in the 70's and 80's.

Born in 1954, Bruno Coulais is a French born film and television soundtrack composer whose first full-length work appeared in 1986 – the score for the Sebastien Grall film La Femme Secrete. He kept to the television end of film scoring and composition for the next few years, and in 1996 he was to earn his first big marks for his work on the documentary Microcosmos, which won him the 1997 Cesar Award. With this success in tow, Coulais went on to the big screen, and some of the most popular French movies over the next few years featured his work, including the 2001 world-wide hit, Winged Migration. After this brief – and successful – foray into cinematics, Coulais went off on his own, composing a children's opera, and delving into collaborative efforts with Akhentaon and A Filetta. But films and television were not left behind completely, and by 2008 – the year of Coulais' soundtrack to the film MR 73 – Coulais added another 13 or so credits to his résumé. More followed in the coming years, including soundtracks for 2010's documentary Babies and Jean-Paul Salomé's drama The Chameleon in the same year.
