There are undoubtedly many piano trios in jazz. However, only very few of them have consistently done "their thing" as has the Marc Perrenoud Trio for many years to get inexorably to the top of their field. They have developed a language, which takes its inspiration from many sources like Esperanto and consequently can be learned and experienced by many. Opulently furnished harmony sequences remind you of Bach's work, but then you are reminded of rock fanfares in the next moment. Only a few minutes later, and we are in the delta of blues that takes us on swinging waters. Then back to ballads full of sensitivity, which almost call études to mind.
LIV MOON was formed in 2009 as a female fronted band. LOUD PARK 09 is the bands first stage performance and they had released an album, DOUBLE MOON, also in the same year.The vocalist of the band, LIV, started her journey as a performer from a Takarazuka music school where she participates in various stages. She took a short leave from the group to travel to England in order to learn singing. In the Beckenham Festival, she managed to win the Singer of the Year award and attracted a lot of attention worldwide. After returning from England, she graduated from the Takarazuka music school and met producer Tatsuya Nishiwaki and later the band LIV MOON was formed.
Every Little Thing (also known as ELT) is a pop/soft rock duo from Japan who debuted in August 1996 with the release of their first single called "Feel My Heart". Their name is usually written in English, and only rarely in katakana.
As 2015 was wrapping up, an unknown outfit called Joon Moon took the music world by surprise with its first single Chess. The four cuts on the Call Me EP, a beguiling mix of pop and soul, electronic music and jazz, melancholy and elegy, heralded a forthcoming album that was bound to leave a blast radius on landing.
