New Orleans bluesman Bryan Lee has packed almost every venue he’s played in. While many artists never break out of their hometowns, Bryan is a great example of one who has, and his reputation stretches from his native USA up to Canada and over to France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and other countries. Therefore it’s fitting that Bryan Lee’s tenth Justin Time recording is a live one, recorded in one of the cities that has embraced him as one of its own – Montreal……
SNOWY WHITE is something of an unknown known size. Since the beginning of the seventies he is a fond wanted and booked session musicians, but also with several solo albums at the start as a guitarist (and singer). WHITE played with PETER GREEN, played with THIN LIZZY, he accompanied PINK FLOYD and was traveling with ROGER WATERS. In the "the wall" Zarco 1990 in Berlin even partially in the foreground. But a superstar, a guitar hero never became of him, for he is far too modest, of which you can convince yourself in the 25-minute backstage documentation of this DVD. An esteemed musician who is never verscherzte it with his longtime companions, he always is. And his companions came to apparently happy and in spite of closely packed schedules - also to refer to the interview section, than to record a concert DVD SNOWY WHITE AND FRIENDS. No mega-event, whether outdoors or in a large hall, but rather a club session in the "MuziekCentrum de Bosuil" in the Dutch Weert…..
Blues(Rock)fans can these days really the heart go on, what new concert-DVD's concerns. Recently, these really highly satisfactory 1981 appearance by Muddy Waters has also come out only with the stones, and so now this delicacy. Sure - Johnny is no longer quite so fast as in the past and sometimes playful he even a little, but truly does not on its authenticity and the feeling that lies in his still impressive Blues game. On this DVD "live from Tokyo", is just this "late" Johnny winter game captured and preserved…..
This DVD was recorded November 11, 2005 at the Higher Ground in Burlington, VT. It is a glimpse into what makes this hard-touring trio so special. Celebrating their 10th anniversary together, the telepathic interplay between guitarist and singer Luther Dickison, drummer and brother Cody Dickinson, and bassist Chris Chew is something to behold. Six hi-definition cameras beautiful capture this performance. The show was one of many the band did in support record, Electric Blue Watermelon. The album, which will be released September 24, features more material from the band’s The Wörld Is Yours Tour, including their 2011 Wacken headline appearance, plus highlights from their Sonisphere and Rio shows. Motörhead will kick off 2012 European Tour on November 5 in Wolverhampton, UK. The tour, which ends December 11 in Kempten, features support from Anthrax.
