Recorded live at London's Wembley Arena, concert was shot in digital video shot and is presented in anamorphic widescreen. The Corrs: Live in London once again affirms the Irish siblings' position as one of the best live acts around and resolutely challenges the assumption that studio recordings are always better than the live versions. Hearing and viewing their stunning performance of tracks such as "Forgiven, Not Forgotten" and "Dreams," it's easy to understand why the band still has such universal appeal. The concert cinematography is excellent, with crystal-clear picture quality. The group's exquisite rendition of "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)," included a bonus track, is one of the numerous DVD features. The live performances of "Dreams," "Radio," and "Breathless" as can be viewed from five different camera angles, and the 20-minute "Access All Areas" documentary is excellently produced and provides an added, more personable dimension to the DVD.

Kathleen Battle and Placido Domingo delight the listener from start to finish in this complilation. Most notable are the duets from La Traviata and The Merry Widow. In my experience of soprano/tenor performances, one voice usually is stronger or more powerful than the other, thus disappointing to that listener who is seeking a perfect blending of voices. Ms. Battle and Mr. Domingo achieve that perfect blend on each duet on this CD. Their solo performances are equally outstanding. It is no wonder they are in such demand with audiences in Japan where this CD was recorded live, as well as throughout the world.

Chris Weaver was born to perform. Mixing southern rock, soul, and country blues, Chris and his band are inspiring crowds all around the world on the heels of releasing their sophomore CD, American Dreamer. Attending a Chris Weaver performance is a spiritual experience you don’t want to miss. Born in West Virginia, Chris Weaver grew up in a music inspired house hold which helped shape his unique sound and style. Chris’ father played in bands and helped introduce Chris to influences ranging from Tom Petty and Bob Seger to John Mellencamp and Joe Cocker. “I wanted to write like them and sing like them but just do it in a way that would be my own,” says Chris. “It’s all I ever remember wanting to do.” After short stints in politics and radio, Chris moved to Nashville and “played every place that sold chicken” to get his start.

In 2009, Israeli singer/songwriter/guitarist Bat-Or Kalo left Israel to soak herself in the sounds of U.S. music. Her creative and musical Israeli family includes a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, famous musicians and war veterans. After finishing her classical and jazz guitar studies and recording her jazz-imbued album, Flesh and Bones, in Tel-Aviv, Kalo moved to New York City to hone her skills as a live performer, frequenting stages like The Bitter End, Arlene’s Grocery, Rockwood Music Hall and others. In 2012, she left The Big Apple to strum her guitar and write in the heart of Dixie. Her sophomore album, Dear John, took root in the Mississippi Delta and other southern states, where its blues tinge began to grow. Along the way, Kalo, the guitarist, became KALO, the band, adding Mack McKinney on bass, and later, Mike Alexander on the drums.
