The tracks on this album, feature the unmistakable voice of Conway Twitty, and have never before been commercially available to the public until now. On May 24, 1972 Conway Twitty walked into Scotty Moore's Music City Recorders at 821 19th Avenue South in Nashville, and after a brief rehearsal and sound level check, the tape rolled and he recorded the songs you hear on this album.

English | 2008 | ISBN: 0791474658 | 156 Pages | PDF | 853.3 KB

Carol Wayne White introduces readers to the religious naturalism of the seventeenth-century English philosopher Anne Conway, whose work offers an analysis of the mechanical conception of nature.

Cat Stevens – Foreigner
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz & 16bit/44kHz
Mastered at Sterling Sound by Lee Hulko
Label: A&M Records/SP-4391 | Release: 1973 | Genre: Folk-Rock

Between 1970 and 1972, Cat Stevens recorded four albums in the same manner, using the same producer and many of the same musicians, painting the album covers, and assigning the records ponderous titles. Things changed with his next album, Foreigner.

In retrospect, it is not hard to find hints of a coming change in the final album Cat Stevens made before a near-death experience and a religious conversion.

Things aren’t going well for Cat Stevens on the planet, ah, polyethylene. Critics keep asking: would you buy a used I Ching from this man? Since Tea for the Tillerman, affirmation has been doubtful. Never a deep thinker and rarely a master of words, Stevens has now turned to the “majik” of numerology, only to have the melodies disappear down the decimal point. In fact, “Call Me Zero” would have been a perfect title for Numbers, an album so breathtakingly stupid that even the most loyal fan could count its merits without using any of the fingers on either hand.

This album is something of a promise to myself finally kept. When I first became interested in piano music as a boy I was greatly influenced by the classic ECM piano album by ECM artists like Steve Kuhn & Richard Beirach, and to a lesser extent Chick Corea and Kieth Jarrett. As a result I wrote a great deal of small evocative piano pieces. I always wanted to record some of them.

Ayurveda is the latest album release in the Mind, Body & Soul series - a series which, incidentally, also includes some videos. Apparently the music on the CD has been written to create balance in the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) - the doshas being related to parts of the body. That said, I'm sceptical [sic] of the power of music to help in physical healing, except perhaps indirectly insofar as it can affect one's emotional wellbeing. I'll leave it to people more interested in the healing side of New Age music to decide whether this album balances their doshas.
