This book not only explicates Stalin’s thoughts, but thinks with and especially through Stalin. It argues that Stalin often thought at the intersections between theology and Marxist political philosophy – especially regarding key issues of socialism in power. Careful and sustained attention to Stalin’s written texts is the primary approach used. The result is a series of arresting efforts to develop the Marxist tradition in unexpected ways.

1970 is arguably the most personal recording that Cohen has made so far in his career, as the title refers to the year he was born. This album pushes all boundaries of jazz, we are dealing with the closest we can get to POP with Avishai. Unity, compassion, and togetherness have been recurrent themes in Cohens work to date, and he gives full vent to those feelings in the new album, especially with the piece "Song Of Hope." He also sketches out a more confessional emotional landscape with "My Lady" and "Move On", where he broaches the joy of love and the pain of heartbreak, drawing on the vocabulary of classic songwriters such as Stevie Wonder.

Dear Heather is the 11th studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, released by Columbia Records in 2004. There is an air of finality on Leonard Cohen's Dear Heather. Cohen, who turned 70 in September of 2004, offers no air of personal mortality – thank God; may this elegant Canadian bard of the holy and profane live forever. It nonetheless looks back – to teachers, lovers, and friends – and celebrates life spent in the process of actually living it.

Various Positions is the seventh studio album by Leonard Cohen, released in December 1984 (and February 1985). It marked not only his turn to the modern sound and use of synthesizers (particularly on the opening track), but also, after the harmonies and backing vocals from Jennifer Warnes on the previous Recent Songs (1979), an even greater contribution from Warnes, who is credited equally to Cohen as vocalist on all of the tracks.
