All too true lyrics that resonate… Lowdown, dirty, and mean harp playing that will blow you away… And a vocal delivery that is sure to send chills down your spine… He served his country for seven years in the U.S. Marine Corps, then he served his soul for six years as singer/harp player in Levon Helm s Barnburners. More than a lifetime of experiences. He s seen it, he s heard it, and now he s putting it into song. The truth and the fiction, from the funny to the frightening… it s all here on his new album, Gonna Die Tryin

When filmmaker David Lynch backed a disquieting scene in Blue Velvet with Roy Orbison's "In Dreams," he demonstrated the eerie atmosphere behind its pre-'60s innocence. Orbison disciple Chris Isaak played those qualities to the hilt in his shimmering, spare "Wicked Game," so it was no surprise when Lynch included the ballad in Wild at Heart. What was surprising, given the fact that it sounded like nothing else on pop radio in 1990, was that "Wicked Game" became a breakout Top Ten hit, pushing Isaak's accompanying album Heart Shaped World to platinum status…

As with his previous records, Caffery handles most of the instrumentation (guitars, bass and keys) with Whitesnake / Billy Idol / Ozzy Osbourne drummer Brian Tichy keeping him company. Also on board is keyboardist/composer Lonnie Park and a guest appearance by violinist Abigail Stahlschmidt on the 7:54 saga "Over and Over". Park assisted with the production and the team recorded "Your Heaven is Real" at Tichy's Big Timers Studio.

The Getaway gave Chris de Burgh his first charted single with "Don't Pay the Ferryman," which peaked at number 34 in 1983. A feverishly fast-paced tune, it contained vibrant keyboards and had de Burgh powerfully barking out the chorus in one of his most intense offerings. As his most spirited single up to that point, it proved that he could easily dish out a charging rock song that still harbored his enchanting brand of lyrics and mystery. Other songs carry this surging flow as well, like the flighty tempo of "The Getaway," kept together by its pop/rock stride, or the determination aching from de Burgh's voice throughout "Ship to Shore,"…

"Footsteps 2" is the second part of Chris de Burgh's album "Footsteps" that was released in 2008. As in the previous work, de Burgh performs cover versions and new songs composed by him. In this case, the Argentine-Irish singer songwriter plays 14 songs, such as two Beatles` classic hits, "Let it Be" and "Lady Madonna"; Steve Winwood's "While You See A Chance": "S.O.S", originally recorded by "ABBA"; "The Living Years", by "Mike and The Mechanics", and "In the Ghetto", a ballad that became a classic when it was performed by Elvis Presley; plus two bonus tracks on CD: Bob Dylan's "Catch the Wind" and Cat Stevens' "Moonshadow"…
