To Baby with Love is the perfect collection of gifts for any newborn or toddler. The birth of a baby is such a special event, and it is a traditional time for gifts. What could be better than a gift that has been made by an adoring mother, grandmother, aunt or friend? Here, Deborah Schneebeli-Morrell - herself a doting grandmother of two - has put together a collection of 35 beautiful projects, all with charmingly illustrated step-by-step instructions and beautiful photography. For newborns, make a cosy patchwork quilt from off-cuts of cashmere sweaters or cute toys to hang above the cot. For an active baby, create a soft floor rug with ribbon tags and fabric flowers for little fingers to investigate. Once your baby has become aware of the wider world, try making some cuddly toys or a fabric book embellished with applique animals. And for toddlers moving into their own bedroom, how about a decorated picture frame, or a doll-sized blanket to keep their favourite toys warm? You will be spoilt for choice with these gorgeous gifts, all created with love and to be passed down through future generations.
When Owen met Haatchi, the lives of one adorable little boy and one great, big dog were destined to change forever. Owen - known to his family as "little buddy" or "Little B" - has a rare genetic disorder that leaves him largely confined to a wheelchair. Before being united with Haatchi, Little B was anxious and found it difficult to make friends. Haatchi - an adorable Anatolian Shepherd puppy - was abused and left for dead on railroad tracks. He was struck by an oncoming train, and although his life was saved, his leg and tail were partially severed. Haatchi was left massively disabled and totally dispirited.
