This is a very good live album from Crack The Sky, with a bunch of songs I had been waiting a long time to hear played with John Palumbo in the band. There is a fair amount of prog here. "From The Greenhouse", "Nuclear Apathy", "Why Me", "The Art Of Wondering", "Ice", "A Sea Epic", "Mind Baby" and a cover of "I Am The Walrus" all fall squarely in that category, while many other songs have some prog elements, especially in the istrumental sections.

Fleet Foxes are an excellent indie folk band from Seattle, WA. "Crack Up" is the band's third album and their first in 6 years. Their last full length was their sophomore LP "Helplessness Blues" that came out in 2011. It was widely speculated that this album would be called Ylajali according to Robin Pecknold's Instagram post. "Third Of May / Ōdaigahara" is the lead single to the album which is out on June 16 via Nonesuch.

They are one of those bands that deserved more success than they got, but to their credit kept playing in one form or another for many, many years. Alive and Kicking A#@ is an excellent live album featuring most of the original band line up: John Palumbo (guitar/lead vocals), Rick Witkowski (lead guitar/vocals), Joey D'Amico (drums/vocals), Joe Macre (bass/vocals), and Jim Griffiths (guitar/vocals). The show is made up of most of Crack the Sky's most recognizable material and captures their live energy and near-virtuoso playing.

Great German 80s Heavy Metal for the first time mastered from the real sources with Bonustracks. Limited Edition to 666 copies. A typical great Karthago Classic! Finally, this masterpiece of classic mid-80's German heavy metal has received the reissue treatment it deserved. Crack Jaw - Nightout is a truly unique album blending the best elements of Euro-metal with very high-end production melodic AOR stylizations. Recorded in 1984 and released in early 1985 on Steamhammer-SPV, from the first track it's apparent that Crack Jaw were a hugely talented band with a very unique and quite cutting-edge sound…

This album, after a nine year absence, was a comeback of sorts for Crack The Sky. And it's not a bad effort. Although it does sound as if they are trying too hard to capture the sound of the early records. But now with four guitarists, these guy can blast out some rock!

The astonishing success of Crack the Sky's eponymous first album raised expectations that the band was never able to fulfill for the rest of their career. Critics and audiences alike delighted in the wry, intelligent lyrics, complex and powerful progressive rock, and carefully crafted harmonies. Radio programmers were more ambivalent. Songs like "Ice," "She's a Dancer," and "Surf City" all got nationwide airplay, though none actually became a real hit.

With few exceptions, greats who established themselves during soul's golden era were not well served by the disco era, when arrangements and material often poorly suited their abilities. Such was the case with the final two albums by , (1979) and (1981), here combined onto one CD with historical liner notes.
