In the second concert filmed in Paris a year later, he features Albert King's blues standard 'Born Under A Bad Sign' and a deeply soulful interpretation of The Impression's ballad hit 'For Your Precious Love'.

Live! is a 1972 live album by Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles. It was recorded on New Year's Day in 1972 inside of a dormant volcano, Diamond Head in Honolulu as part of a music festival. The performance was not Santana the band but Carlos Santana with a few members of Santana and some friends from the Bay Area (Neal Schon, Coke Escovedo, Gregg Errico, and Michael Carabello) plus drummer/singer Buddy Miles, simply having a vacation and taking a break. Consider this Santana's crossroad before entering his jazz fusion phase. This Legacy Columbia CD was released on 6 September, 1994.

Best known as the drummer in Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsys, Buddy Miles also had a lengthy solo career that drew from rock, blues, soul, and funk in varying combinations. He joined his fathers band the Bebops at the age of 12 and then went on to also play drums and provide backing vocals for the likes of Ruby & The Romantics, the Ink Spots, the Delfonics, Mike Bloomfields Electric Flag and Carlos Santana.
"All The Faces Of Buddy Miles" was Buddy’s fifth solo album and followed up on the success of the 1972 "Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles Live!” album.

The debut album from the Buddy Miles Express was released in 1968. The title would inspire Sonic Youth to borrow it for one of their songs. The only single released for this was "Train" but single success had not been important for Sir Miles until he had a certified hit two years later with "Them Changes". This album is also known for "Let Your Lovelight Shine", which was sampled by the Beastie Boys in "Professor Booty".
